Awesome, Phaseshift has come along in the past few months (you even fixed that annoying slider note thing). now what we really need is (drum roll please) PRO KEYS!!! sersiously though, it would be awesome seeing as how pro drums are possbile and pro guitar. shouldn't be hard, its just 25 frets/keys (whatevers u calls 'em) * OH i forgot, we need support for cymbal swells ;D

According to Harmonix's RBN documentation, cymbal swells should be charted as "special drum rolls".

actually, pro keys really aren't that big of an essential, an essential is vocal support, pro keys are something that can probably wait a while longer before being implemented

thank you asskick... vocals are a very important element, and in my opinion, the only reason this has been put off is because of the difficulties involved with creating a functioning vocals system that fits the level of quality that's come to be expected in this game...

yes it is, but i think pro keys should be top priority right now seeing as how developing vocals may take a while, we may not see pro keys until 2012!!! just try getting it out of the way so u hav LOTS of free time to develop the vocals while pro key users can stop waiting for the Pro Keys functions
***btw do u think it would be possible to allow the RB3 keyboard to play bass and guitar parts?

i think it would be silly to allow keyboards to be used for other instruments because it gets rid of the need to actually strum, which kills the gameplay IMO... but it may be added just as an extra feature for the heck of it sometime

maybe, but there are TWO sets of keys to use (what i meaqn is u can play 5 frets on 2 octaves) so that helps the strum thing: just press, lets say green, and the other green to emulate a strum

looks like a loop for auto strum. Either that or you wanna pretend to be like Jeff Healy. Bluzer

actually, like RB3 does it, we can just use the 2 keys for the same color to emulate a strum, much like GH2 or GH3 did with the ps2 controller

The setback is being able to correctly speak with the keytar itself. Getting all of the keys mapped to a signal that the computer recognizes is not a walk in the park.

We've generally learned how to read the keyboard input, but it's still going to be a bear to implement in-game.
