This thread is meant to be a continuation of this post: Band Multiplier by BravoGangUS. I'm brand-new to Phase Shift, and I LOVE IT. I think it's superior to Frets on Fire X in every way. Props to all the developers and creators who have worked on this. So, back to the original topic, I've always loved the idea of getting the highest score possible while in cooperative play in anything, whether it be Guitar Hero, Rock Band, or even non-rhythm games. So when I saw a now-two-year-old thread suggesting the implementation of Band Multipliers in PS, I was giddy as a person running through a meadow full of daisies. However, I think there should be a new name and (possibly) new mechanics for it. I don't know. But I'm posting this in the Ideas/Suggestions section for a reason. Let's see what ideas we can come up for this suggestion!

yeah, i never got the score count on phase shift, songs that you make fo example mercyful fate medley, you can make 1 million points on GH by getting 100% playing solo, while in phase shift you get way less points, and its just simple math, every note has a value of 50 points and every 10 notes streak add a 1x bonus, in star power its just the double of those values, such an easy thing to fix.

The thing is in the case of Phase Shift, iirc, it doesn't have every note have a value of 50 points, they have 25. The multiplier is the same, obviously up until 4x (or 6x in the case of bass) and star power does double it. The only real reason for the score difference is, again the fact that Phase Shift (as well as Rock Band) use a base of 25 points instead of 50.
Back to the topic at hand, I would LOVE a band multiplier.

Yes, every note in Phase Shift, no matter what instrument you play, gives 25 points, although for "real instruments" and the case of the PRO instruments in RB3, I think it gives out more per note. I digress. I feel we need a band multiplier setting as it appeared in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, 5, and other games styled like those.

From what I've just had explained to me about the GH band multiplier, I think that would be a terrible idea. It seems extremely convoluted and just dumb overall. I would much prefer an RB style band multiplier.

I would much prefer an RB style band multiplier. You would think so, but people like me who like seeing really big numbers should also have the option of seeing big numbers if they want to. Should we really be limited in what can be done in this game? Besides, I personally don't like RB's scoring system because to even see a noticeable band multiplier, 2 or more members need to be using Overdrive at the same time. It's just me, but that's just annoying when you're playing with someone noob-ish and they never nail a single Overdrive phrase.
