The game is very good. In it there is the multiplayer. Out in Steam will make the game known. So why not add it to Steam?

we actually had a conversation recently reconsidering paying the fee and adding it to greenlight, there are plenty of issues involved that i've never been too fond of dealing with and it could turn into a bit of a mess, but we recently discovered another project has decided to use our name, if they put their project on steam first then it could become a bit of a problem, so there is now pressure to do it first and help secure the title
bit of a shame this is even an issue we need to think about, you would hope other indie devs would have a bit of consideration for other projects

Looks like that other game has only been publicly known for about 2 months or so. Maybe you should file for a trademark or something?

Could this mean there could be DLC for Phase Shift that people can sell there songs?

trademarks aren't really an option for something at this scale, expensive and region specific

The name issue really sucks, didn't they even care to google "phase shift game" before naming their project? having to rename DWSK's phase shift after all this time would really suck.
On the bright side i've seen some very possitive response to true free games on steam (yes it is possible to have your game in steam without any kind of payments/microtransaction) check Super Crate Box, "Jigoku Kisetsukan: Sense of the Seasons" or "You have to win the game".
Also one could say phase shift has a lot more content and replayability compared with most other free games(not F2P), with the possibility of adding even more songs.

If we can moderate the workshop like a hawk to prevent piracy, Workshop integration would be totally awesome! Achievements... TRADING CARDS!

I looked and I think you can sell stuff in steam workshop so could that mean I can sell my songs?

Also that means there could be charting groups maybe like RBN.

No and No. Personally, I'm getting tired of your droning of wanting song encryption and selling charts.
From what I recall from what you want, you want song encryption, which will more than likely be a big NO if the game is released on Steam. The devs want to keep the idea of making songs on Phase Shift open without a paywall.
From what I understand, only the devs can charge prices for DLC. If PS had Workshop integration, modders can only put out stuff for free, assuming it passes community guidelines. If users wish to submit content for DLC, they can submit their content directly to the developers so they can get a cut of the profits. If you wish to take out the middle man, being the collective consciousness of DWSK, pray to GabeN to bring back paid mods.
And we already have charting groups. Sure, Steam Forums could help facilitate that, but why bother with Steam Forums when you have FoFFF and DWSK, which are vastly superior in every which way! Charting groups are just a conglomeration of individuals who share a passion for rhythm gaming, and there are no requirements (at least here in America) to make such a community.
Kinda bummed that in order to have trading cards while keeping the game F2P, the game has to have micro-transactions... I came up with some ways that could possibly allow them, but all of them seemed elitist, not very friendly for the end player, nor worthy of sharing.

I've never been too fussed about trading cards anyway. But if you need microtransactions for them. Why not purely cosmetic things. Like simple colour changes to the theme?
Also something I would really love to see is a level up system similar to what Warriors of Rock had here you level up by earning stars on songs.
