more like JUST enough or in other words varely acceptable xD
its a rhythm game we are talking about, not a non-interactive animation, response time is a very important thing to consider.

Stutters or lags are the main cause why people are failing in rhythm games lol.

Heya guys, so first of all I only just learned about Phase Shift, until yesterday I fought around with FoFix xD I love how smooth (and unbuggy) it feels :} Anyway, I did have some issues with A/V delay. After using the calibration song twice it's much better but it still doesn't feel perfect. So, my 'Manual Audio Delay' is now at 65 and my 'Manual Video Delay' is at 22. When in a song, after a while on top of the screen it says 'Avg. Delay' between 50 and 65. Is that a value that shows me something I should somehow put into the manual delay options?
Thanks!

Nevermind, using 'performance' mode in the calibration seemed to work much better (though I don't know what it does differently). Also, I replaced all my old songs which were put together from various sources over the years with new ones meant to be played with Phase Shift and now it's perfect

So I dunno if I'm alone here but the calibration song is completely broken for me. I have been able to make the game tolerable on the monitor I play it on basically by turning on performance mode and experimenting with different audio and video delays but it's a pretty arduous process and makes playing on a different monitor pretty unappealing.
The calibration song (obviously) starts with the audio calibration, which I do with my eyes closed. I miss absolutely every note and when the video calibration starts, the notes never show up. Whether I quit out of the video calibration or let it finish, the result is that the video delay is set to 0 and the audio delay is set to 2147483647 (makes me lol every time) which I assume is the maximum allowable value (programmer here, represent!).
I can't be alone here, right?

All of the sudden i started having unplayable audio issues, their is about a 3 to 7 second delay. also nothing has changed in my setup at all from when the game was working properly.

I'm sorry for all you guys having the same issue that I have with the calibration system... But at the same time I'm Glad that I'm not the only one with this problem... I even though "I must be soooo stupid if I can't set this thing up..." I looked for calibration issues on Phase shift and nothing appeared so my final conclusion was... Maybe I'm asking for somethig soo easy that nobody would ask for this. If anyone has a solution, I would be more than glad to multiply that solution

Hey, I did calibrate the game and it gave me an audio value of 56 and video of 9. This works for most songs, but there are some that don't, most of the songs that don't work with this calibration is off by just a little bit and i can work around it, but some are extremely out of sync. I turned the "show average lag" option and for some songs like "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" if I play just by ear, it gives me an average of 108 audio lag, and if I adjust to 108, I can FC it on expert adv drums, with it on 56 I can barely complete it. There are many songs in this ~50 to ~110 range of audio lag, and I was wondering if there was a way to sync individual songs lag? maybe delay a bit when the audio starts so I can one by one fix the songs so they all work on the same calibration value? Its really annoying having to play a song for a min or so to get the average lag, just to adjust and start to play again, and when the song is finished having to put it back to where it was to be able to play the next song, which I may or may not have to adjust again to a different value. Thanks.
