I've been feeling a little devious now since I got a good grasp on EOF, and I've been holding this back for a few weeks... and I can't make up my mind about this...
so...
What does the community think about having Beethoven's 9th Symphony charted? The entire thing.
I've found a public domain performance (from the 1950's) that's perfect for it.
I have a full score, and I plan on charting everything: second violins, contra-bassoon... you name it.
What do you think?

It might be interesting as multiple keys tracks, but something like this would scream for pro keys.

It might be interesting as multiple keys tracks, but something like this would scream for pro keys. I plan on assigning all the difficulties to different instruments. For an example, Cellos would be on Expert and Hard, while Contra Basses are on Easy and Medium. All of these would be on the Bass Guitar track. I plan to put woodwinds and brass on the keys... Violin and viola on guitar. Drums would obviously be percussion, but depending on how the score is written (I haven't buried my heart and soul into it yet) will change if I write multiple parts to one difficulty, or spread the parts across the different difficulty levels. Because of that, everything will be charted with a difficulty level of Expert. I think the tricky part will be reducing the many vocal parts into a single vocal track. Reducing the 4 part voice solo to 3 tracks is also a challenge... (what to keep and what to cut?) especially since my preferred charting program, EOF, doesn't have vocal harmonies yet. Screaming for pro keys won't do you much good on a text-based board =P I could see fretting the instruments to pro charts though ;D And another question is to split the 4 movements into their own songs, or make it just one GINORMOUS SONG!? I'm enjoying the current approval of this though! *Short Edit* Now if Phase Shift could handle playing the Solo Vocals AND the Harmony Vocals at the same time, then my problem reducing the 4 part vocals is moot!

Btw do u mind wen ur done with the chart that can do a dance chart for it id find it funny that there is a dance mode for old music I feel that a dance chart would be more for Mozart or Hyden, specially since they did a lot of songs that you could dance to... This is Beethoven: Angry! Deaf! German! Genius! We don't need to dance! =P I've never done a dance chart before, nor do I plan to do one for this chart... even though the Schertzo is a good candidate for it. Here's an uber early alpha of the chart. www.mediafire.com/?cq96kcovao2clooFor the full intensity of this chart... I either need more controllers (4 keyboards, 4 guitars, 2 basses, and a drum set) , or somebody has to set up a server for online play! DAMN THIS CHART IS GOING TO BE EPIC!

well i got 2 360 controllers, 2 guitar controllers(1 classic and 1 pro) and a keyboard maybe if we combined we'd have enough controllers, ha. Including the necessary computer keyboard, I have a RB1 Wii drum controller, a RB1 Wii Strat, 2 XBOX Xplorers, and one wired XBOX360 controller (old school... I know). I wish that I could get my RB3 Wii pro guitar and keys working in Phase Shift... but we've already discussed the reasons why in a different thread. To observe all the glory of this chart, we would need 11 instruments in total: 4 keys, 4 guitar, 2 bass, and one drum. We have enough then. ;D Marvin the Bot will have such a fun time with this... and I wonder how my computer (mid-low Frankenstein tier reporting) will handle the pressure of 11 charts running at the same time? I decided not to chart pro guitar/bass yet because I would like to get the fingering positions as accurate as possible to what a violinist/cellist would use... and I'm no violinist. =P
