Does it REALLY have to be covering the top of the fretboard, practically in the middle of the screen? It's extremely distracting, and there is plenty of space above the fretboard for this where it would be out of the way.
Thanks.

Thanks. use a higher resolution or get a bigger monitor, with a modern sized screen that percentage is no problem at all.

Thanks. i second this.. i was actually going to bring it up today but i see it has already been brought up.. i play on the lowest resolution (800x600) and the solo percentage covers a good bit of the fretboard making the solo much harder than it should be simply because my eyes are trained to ignore that sort of stuff so i can focus on the notes.. but since it's on the fretboard my eyes are confused and ignore the percentage along with that whole part of the fretboard.. solos i would usually be able to hit with ease are now difficult simply because i can't see them correctly

see, I don't think Phase shift should accomodate to a resolution as low as 800x600, its such an outdated resolution, of course things aren't going to fit right with that size, that's why if you set a resolution that low in windows it gives a warning, in my opinion, I don't think its worth fixing.

It could be possible to move the solo status text by modifying one of the many *.ini files. I don't have my computer handy at the moment (desktops are not very portable), but I'm sure if you hunt around, you'll find something.

the solo text was a bit experimental, as it is drawn under the notes I haven't found it distracting but I haven't tried the game at a low resolution to see how that effects things, when we have some time we'll evaluate our options

um i know what u just said asskickulater but this for me is kinda annoying that actually looks like a bug, basic stuff like the menus and such should fit right in low resolutions like 800x600. does it do that in fullscreen or only windowed? what resolution are you running it in? what aspect ratio is it set to?

I have the same issue with these settings: 800x600 (4:3) Full Screen. I'm not sure if it's the same with any 4:3 aspect ratio... I'll test it later when I get home. And the pic homeboy posted was in windowed mode. It seems the developers specifically made this for 16:9 displays/resolutions. I guess I need to upgrade my monitor if I want to play Phase Shift in Full Screen Glory.

yea it looks like that screen has had some extra long text added since we last checked 4:3 and there is some slight cropping, not really a game breaker and easily fixed

If that isn't new or high resolution enough, what is? Try setting your fretboard angle to 4, and see how distracting it gets.

My video card is poop, so I can't play at a higher resolution unless I want my FPS to drop to 40, so they best idea I came up with was replacing the number .png files on Fonts folder. Worked like a charm. No solo marker anymore, but no more numbers on setlist either, and the stats screen is almost empty. So I'm just going to remove every single event on my songs. No more practice mode but hey, I'm sick of choking because of the solo marker.
I'd like it if there was an option to disable it, just like the countdown timer and all that. Sorry if I sounded rude or something, I don't mean to offend anyone.
