I was thinking, i have a lot of people play Phase Shift, and some are not as good as others, so, I was wondering if you can change the hit window settings to a profile specific setting?

The problem that I have with different hit windows is that the scores have to be disabled because you want to have a standard for high scores. I've been thinking about it and maybe the way we could handle this is make the hit window effect the ammount of point you get for each hit. This way If you want a real challange you can lower the hit window and get extra points for it. However, this is going to complicate the highscores and will require alot of work to make sure that the hit windows are correctly ballanced to the score adjustments. But in general I don't think the hit window is that bad to require all this attention. Unless there are still some issues with certain machine but if this is the case then I'd rather fix that issue than create work arounds.
Thanks David

i think actual gameplay REALLY needs to have a standard and i think the hit window is just right as is.. that said.. if drunk mode (and maybe no fail mode for that matter) was instead profile based then you could just have their scores not count and they could still play without bothering anyone else (aside from a ton of missing sounds) and anyone else playing without those options on would have their scores count just like normal.. also if the profile based drunk mode had an adjustable note hit window starting at maybe 50% bigger hit window than normal mode and able to increase to perhaps 200% or so (and able to go down to as little as 1-5% bigger hit window (or maybe somewhere in the negatives if you're REALLY drunk )) then the less skillful players will be able to play with it pretty much as easy as they want it to be and the other players wouldn't be affected

You can turn off score reporting if the window is larger than standard? Like a cheat.
FoFiX makes users lose a certain percentage of their score based on the cheat. No fail = 100% loss, larger hit window is 10% depending on how large it's made. Different ho/po systems etc. Then if the window is made tighter, you can add percentages to the scores also.
