I'm here making songs for the Rb3 setlist(FoF legacy/FoFiX/PS) & came across a few problems with the midi's, specifically speaking, the PRO parts. When I open the midi in Anvil, the PART REAL_GUITAR(some songs) part is empty(no notes) which then leads to Tracks 18 [and I think 19(Oye Mi Amor - Maná confirms this through a Youtube video)]. With that said & PRO is(atleast I think it is) still being worked on, PRO REAL_BASS(no notes, but is located in a different Track #) has issues aswell.
Well anyways, just wanted a little feed back or update on the situation. Should I just disregard all PRO PARTS(the ones that are troubling me) until further ado?

ps. I assume you have the midi's, if not I can provide you with such.

Anvil studio does strange things with the MIDI files, displaying different channels as different tracks and so on. You'd be better off using a more functional MIDI editor like Reaper, or if you just want to poke around with the MIDIs, to sync them for use in Phase Shift, you can use EOF. One of the major downsides with EOF currently is that it will remove the 22 fret version of the pro guitar/bass charts when you import.

yeah ok then, good call! Is this normal? the XX's call for a strum with no notes pressed? Watching Youtube vids don't have any numbers on them(from what I've seen) if thats the case then I'll just have to re-save all the midi's in reaper(from there native "notes_unedited.mid" to say is wasn't touched?).

The X's mean that it's a muted chord. Those are very common in RB3 charts, and just indicate that you don't need to hold any particular fret for each muted string, but you can if you want.

To clarify, X means mute the string by touching it without pressing it onto the fretboard. It creates an atonal percussive sound.
RB3 has this basic exercise for muting: On string 6, X X 3 X X 0
It is a good exercise for learning fret hand finger control. You have to play that in a way where you can hear what you are really playing of course. On the Squire with the mute up or on the Mustang, everything you play is an X.
