i think it's because the chart doesn't say what part it is because it's an old chart and needs to be updated (FOF didn't have a problem with this cause it assumed it was a guitar part if it wasn't specified) so here's what you do.. download EOF and load the notes.mid in there and then hit save without changing anything and then you're free to play it i think unless you have a different problem than i did (i think raynebc or someone mentioned this sometime before which is why i know anything about it:P).. also if you are trying to play some other part like bass you might need to change what EOF saves the chart as and i don't know how to do that or if you even need to anyway but that is just an extra thought

This happens to me when I play certain songs without a drum chart

The chart has no track names. FOF assumes that blank names are guitar charts but I see no good reason to do this in PS.
Thanks David

the notes were appearing in EOF for me.. maybe you need a newer version of EOF but i think the problem is that need to click "MIDI import" instead of "load" or "new" and then import the notes.mid and then save them (you may have to have the notes.mid in the same folder as the guitar.ogg file but i am not entirely sure)

If there isn't a guitar.ogg file in the same folder as the MIDI being imported, EOF will prompt you to browse for an OGG or MP3 file.

After you import the MIDI file, are you saving the chart? If so, it might be best to post the MIDI file so we can try to replicate the issue.

yes... it works as long as you: open EOF, import midi, and then SAVE the song... then the notes will show up in the game AND eof when you try to load it again
