Thanks David. Well besides the roundabout way of having to do it rather than having an editor that can do it automatically probably deters some charts from being made...but for some (or most) the chart quality is actually worse with 5 lane charts, simply because there is only 2 cymbals, and a forced two cymbals. 4 lanes allows for 3 toms and 3 cymbals, although they are both on the same lanes, its still possible. 5 lanes only allows 2 cymbals and 2 toms, meaning that open hi-hat gets charted with closed, ride, china and crash are all on the same cymbal. If the drummer hits a hi-hat, crash, ride, then the chart really doesn't make any sense, but in 4 lanes those can all be different lanes. I don't mean to knock on that feature implementation, but thats my personal opinion on 5 lane charts. thats fair enough but personally i find the layout and extra pad simply adds to the challenge which is one of key reasons i enjoy these types of games, i guess it steps into the realm of simulation vs arcade, more accurate doesn't mean more fun, but hopefully rb3 will bring the best of both worlds

XD Its support for 2 or mare bass pedals on drum controllers. Some games had issues with this, that why i was wondering. From GHM to present and RB3 has this.

I have no idea how it works in the MIDI but its a "fifth" difficulty added onto GH: Metallica and all GH games afterwards as well as RB3. Maybe it reads a separate MIDI for expert+? (named notesplus, or expertplus in the folder or something. That may or may not be how GHM/RB3 does it, but I think that would be the easiest). I'll try to find a video of it or something. Its on the difficulty selection screen; Easy, Med, Hard, Expert, Expert+.

OK, well that's simple enough to implement then.

Would there be any chance of this being up for download? I really want to try it out.

5 lanes is the only way to go - 4 is just silly. Thanks for adding the 5th lane :-)
