Our next release should have 5 Lane Support Enabled and to celebrate this I've charted the GHWT 5 Lane version of Everlong. I'm dying to test it out but it's too late to be playing drums David

This is cool. It would be even cooler if I had a plastic drumkit. Or any drumkit for that matter.

It's nice that you guys got the 5 lane working, do these work with true GHWT and newer mids, or is this something custom at this time ?

All of the GHWT and GH5 songs I've come accross have been modified to support FOFIX. As such the Orange Notes has been moved to blue.
This is the big problem I have with FOFIX is that they are very slow to adopt features and as such it forced people to slaughter the MIDI's to get it working in FOFIX.
So, the bottom line is the easiest way to get them working is to open the GHWT/GH5 MIDI's into a normal MIDI program. (I use Cakewalk) and just move the notes to the correct positions. This is what I did with Everlong. It took me about 30 mins to run through the MIDI comparing it to a Youtube video from the original game.
Thanks David

How exactly do you chart for 5 lanes..? Feedback doesn't support it.

I had post this in another topic: There is no easy way to convert 4 Lane Drum Charts to 5 Lane Drum Charts. The Drum charts used with FOFIX did not preserve the original data. Therefore you will manually need to modify the FOFIX Charts to make them work.
The Charts were Mixed Down but moving any Orange note to a Blue Note Instead. As Such, you just have to undo this process. I was able to do this very quickly using Cakewalk (any decent MIDI program will do) by simply moving the correct Blue notes back to their original Orange postion. I just used a YouTube Video for reference and Everlong Expert took me about 20 mins.
The Orange Note is one note up from green which is an F.
Below Is the exact note number for each difficulty:
DRUM_EASY_ORANGE (65) DRUM_MEDIUM_ORANGE (77) DRUM_HARD_ORANGE (89) DRUM_EXPERT_ORANGE (101)
Hope that helps explain the process as It would be nice to see some 5 Lane Drum Charts surfacing.
Thanks David

Thanks David. Well besides the roundabout way of having to do it rather than having an editor that can do it automatically probably deters some charts from being made...but for some (or most) the chart quality is actually worse with 5 lane charts, simply because there is only 2 cymbals, and a forced two cymbals. 4 lanes allows for 3 toms and 3 cymbals, although they are both on the same lanes, its still possible. 5 lanes only allows 2 cymbals and 2 toms, meaning that open hi-hat gets charted with closed, ride, china and crash are all on the same cymbal. If the drummer hits a hi-hat, crash, ride, then the chart really doesn't make any sense, but in 4 lanes those can all be different lanes.
I don't mean to knock on that feature implementation, but thats my personal opinion on 5 lane charts.
