I finally upgraded my PC from 2008 and trying to play customs. Phase Shift installs fine, loads quickly but gets to the menu and there are no options on it, it only plays music. My PC can definitely handle this game and plays Destiny 2/Overwatch/Halo MCC without issues and the drivers are all updated so I'm at a loss for what to change to get it to work.
Here's any system info I can think of that might help. AMD Ryzen 7 2700 PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB Red Dragon Video Card Gigabyte B450 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard 16 GB of RAM 144hz Monitor, 1920x1080 res, 8-bit depth Windows 10 Home 1903

You probably did not load up a theme correctly. Remove any custom themes and see if the game works. If it does not, uninstall, remove all PS files in the directory you installed it, and then reinstall.

Having a similar issue where I upgraded hardware after Christmas and now nothing I can figure out will show any menus whatsoever. Triple checked I have the latest drivers for my new 5500XT, have restarted several times to see if it's the "locked font" bug and can't get 1 iota of default or Rock Band theme menus to show. Will let you know if I make progress, would hope to get back to drumming soon!

same problem. Also using an AMD GPU. Running a 5700XT and vanilla phase shift isn't showing anything but the background and some music

Confirming it's an AMD GPU issue. I've upgraded my GPU from a 5700XT to an RTX 2070 Super and now menu texts appear like it's supposed to.

It does seem to be something about the 55/5700 XT's, I reinstalled the RX470 I'd been using before my Christmas upgrade and got the game running again for a few hours. Now I've got both cards installed and will just switch to the old card to play this game.

Just got a drum kit, was excited to try this out, but I guess because I have AMD card I can't play? Same issue, just music plays on start, no menu text at all. Any fix in the works? Any workarounds?

!!! THERE IS A FIX FOR AMD USERS !!!It's for Phase Shift v1.27 not working for people running AMD GPU's. The game loads fine, but the menu screen stays blank(even themes don't resolve the problem). I specifically have a 5700XT, and if you use Vulkan (A competing Low-Level Graphics API - re: OpenGL, DirectX9-12, and Metal) , the game runs fine: Open up the latest release with your favorite archival program(7zip, winrar, etc.) then copy the d3d9.dll into the same folder as your phase_shift.exe.Step 1) Download Vulkan drivers*For those of you that are rightfully skeptical to just be downloading .dll's off the internet, here's a link to a 100% clean VirusTotal scan of the downloaded folder. Right now, the most current Vulkan Release is 1.7. The file name is dxvk-1.7.tar.gzStep 2) Unzip the contents of the "x32" folder into your Phase Shift directory (I used 7Zip): dxvk-1.7.tar.gz >unzip> dxvk-1.7.tar >unzip> dxvk-1.7 >unzip> x32 >open folder
Step 2.5) Place d3d9.dll in the same folder that your phase_shift.exe is in.
Step 3) Shift Phases.
