Does somebody else get stucked during brwosing the song list - the game freezes, has no more input reaction or audio output just a simple freeze, then some seconds later, the windows message comes up with somehing like phase shift doesn`t react anymore , where you can close the program manually
I don't know what that is exactly but I have it for a long time now, with the versions of phase shift before and with steam
And they are 100% random, you can't just recreate the issue

i'm having the same issue. the game will most definitely freeze if i've just opened it and land on a song to let the game queue the song preview. the only workaround i've found so far is to just select a song, and play all the way through it, without letting the game try to play the song preview. typically once i get back to the song list the crashes are very seldom after that. the game will still crash while selecting songs but that may also be a different issue, or an issue just with that song.
i have a theory it's something to do with the game loading song files (caching previews) after launch. i noted phase_shift.exe stores a thread of memory for every single file path to every single song in the library while it's running. since i've just started the game, maybe the song i've just selected doesn't have the preview generated yet, so phase_shift.exe checks the memory where it should be, sees nothing, and crashes. i've also left it open after this freeze for quite some time. it'll still use about 16% of my CPU but doesn't ever come back to being functional after that. this could also be caused by just having too many songs. i have about 7000 tracks, maybe that is too much? i don't know.
edit: came back to say i had a very issue-free play session yesterday after i decided to do an impromptu sorting to my library. i did not have to avoid letting song previews play, and i didn't crash for a couple of hours of gameplay. crashes definitely seem to be related to the amount of songs in the list you're viewing, not the entire library. so i decided to put artists that i had the most songs for into subfolders, trimming a 1200-something song list that kept making me crash down to about 500. this seemed to be a decent solution so i'm recommending trying it.
for context, i have my phase library sorted by franchise source. there are thousands of songs total in the library, but each folder would not have more than 2 to 300 files in them. the one exception is my community customs folder which has about 500 files that i explained above. i would recommend not trying to experiment with more than 5 to 600 files per folder as a pre-emptive caution.
