So I've been trying to get into Real Drums with my live streaming stuff and I've been having troubles with getting the hi-hat and yellow crash cymbal working in Real Drums. I really only have one yellow cymbal on my e-kit (I have the Yamaha DTXpress II), but it is only triggering the hi-hat in the game. Even after switching the MIDI note outputs from the kit to send to different MIDI notes to be registered in the game, I still get no dice. It only triggers the open hi-hat in Phase Shift on every note that triggers the yellow cymbal note in-game. So I'm wondering, am I supposed to have another "yellow" cymbal on my e-kit to be able to play Real Drums? Where the hi-hat and yellow crash cymbals are supposed to be separate pads on the e-kit? I figured the "yellow" crash was to be a MIDI note separate from the open hi-hat note, but even after switching through all of the MIDI notes, nothing could be programmed to trigger the yellow cymbal. Only the open hi-hat was triggering. Any advice on this would be really appreciated! This has been really bugging me as there are real drum songs I want to play and everything else on the kit in Real Drums works just as expected!

I would advice you to download PsMidiProfiler app from my signature and to create new midi profile with it.
The first thing that you should know is that you should choose the real drums midi profile type: 1. "Regular" real drums midi profile type. Your drum brain must sends 4 different note numbers for each yellow type (c,o,p,s -> closed, open, pedal, sizzle). The game uses this 4 notes directly. or 2. CC#4 midi profile. Your drums must have a hi-hat pedal, which sends CC#4 (Control Change #4) midi messages to report its current position. The yellow note number does not change, so depending on how hard you press the pedal, the game detects 4 different states, which it converts again to c,o,p,s notes. When using CC#4 profile, the game has a visual indicator for the pedal position. If I remember well, when you push the pedal in range 80-120 the yellow bar goes green when you push to 120+ the bar goes red. The "p" note is send when you press the pedal to its max position (127).
Hope this helps, dj

Dang if I get real drums up and running, I'm gonna be in Heaven! Thanks again!

Did we figure out how to add this second crash? i just got another cymbal for my kit hoping it would just work and i cant figure it out The easiest way to do that is to get a working profile without using any additional pads. Make sure the profile works. Open any midi software, which detects the midi note numbers (PsMidiProfiler is one of them) and then hit your additional pad. Add this note to the working profile. Here are the possible button names Red, Yellow, Yellow_C, Yellow_O, Yellow_P, Yellow_S, Yellow_Tom, Blue, Blue_Tom, Green, Green_Tom, Orange, Bass, Rim, Up, Down, Left, Right, Back, Start

Hey, can you do the same with GREEN_O, GREEN_C, GREEN_P and GREEN_S ? I'm a lefty and mapped the drums that way..don't know if the game recognizes it if it's saying green instead of yellow.. i'm trying to map but not that succesfully...works perfect on Drum ADV as the hi hat is the hihat without the 4 options..Played real drums songs and noticed the difference and difficulties Did we figure out how to add this second crash? i just got another cymbal for my kit hoping it would just work and i cant figure it out The easiest way to do that is to get a working profile without using any additional pads. I have Yellow mapped to my yellow crash, but in game it is not working. I don't understand? Everything else works fine.
