ok, I know you guys already rejected this feature because you want to keep the setlist looking "clean" but Im going to suggest it again in a way you guys might find as a good compromise. ok, how about you guys have the game display the charters name in the corner when you start a song? this way you can keep the setlist clean while still showing the charter of a song

i would also say that the charter or fretter deserves so be credited to some degree in some way shape or form whether it's in the song select section, or if something came up just before you started the song, or song info including that could come up durring the loading screen

the loading screen isn't a bad idea, didn't think of that one.

The Loading Screen Will Be Fine. I Have No Problem Showing It There.
Thanks David

i just thought it would be cool if it showed that kinda info, like the album, artist, and throw the fretter in there for good measure durring an otherwise boring portion of the game interface, glad to hear it =]

awesome, and while were still on this topic, how about you add a feature so that we can credit different people for each instrument?

awesome, and while were still on this topic, how about you add a feature so that we can credit different people for each instrument? Not sure how this would work really. Isn't it just easy enough to just in the fretter tag you write more than one person then you can be as detailed as you want. Thanks David

i like the song loading message for multiple artist tags, but for single artist tags, i'd assume you'd use the standard tags in place already and have it show up durring loading sequence

well.. what if you have 4 or so people making a chart each doing different instruments?, it would just look like a mess.
could be done with tags in he song.ini
charter_drums = charter_guitar = charter_bass =
and so fourth
@fatdog: doing that wouldn't look very clean at all, it would over all look like a complete mess.

obviously it wouldn't look a complete mess, just a simple list i don't have anything against the idea but you have options to do what you want now untill something else gets looked into

that does look nice =] all i was saying is that EOF at the very least already sticks a tag for the fretter on the song.. so there's already a tag in place

The loading message was what would display during the chart loading screen in FoF/FoFiX. I believe it would list the fretter during the beginning of the playback of the chart.
