i dont know if this could be possible, when i play the bass, the bass sounds lower, it would be nice if we could play with the bass a little bit louder or drums more louder.

This is easy to implement but might be anoying as it would only apply to songs with split audio. As such different songs will have different levels. However, this is also true of different songs in general. Having a general overide for all songs might become messy when each song will have different base levels to begin with. Obviously then you could move the setting within the song.ini. However, this would just be a pain to work with as no one is going to want to through each fo their songs changing the setting.
It's a nice idea in theory but i doubt it would be used very often. Still I'll most likely add it when I get the Audio Options menu done.
Thanks David

Actually, a relevant request based off this:
Could you setup a "mixer" as an in-game options menu?
I have noticed that songs that have a lot of split tracks tend to all play at bad volumes. When I mix all the split tracks together in an audio editing program, its really loud and has a 'blown speaker' effect to it, as if exceeding volume limits. It does this too in PS for me. I've fixed this before by editing each track individually to be lower, but it's a pain when you have a lot of songs.
This is what I was thinking for an idea; You would be playing a song in-game, and if it has that problem, pause and go to options > Mixer. Your mixer will pop up showing each track and volume. You can adjust it right there on the spot for that song specifically, and it would save a mixer.ini file in that songs directory so you wouldn't have to do it every time. As for mixers tracks, it would change the volumes of your choice; Guitar, Bass, Drums, Rhythm, Song, ect, and Master. This would also help for those songs that everyone has that are way louder or quieter than the rest. You would just change the Master volume to that song and it would match the others. (Sometimes I play War Pigs, which is super quiet, then Afterlife which is waaaay too loud)
I think the idea would be great, and we could probably have someone cook up really cool mixer graphics for it too. That's just for extra flavor though, I'd be happy enough seeing the concept above put in-game. I think there are enough afflicted songs out there for this to be a ideal feature.

The main problem I have is the same old one: Should I make the game fix problems that people should have got right when creating the songs in the first place?

I see where your coming from, but there are a ton of songs that are affected. This would fix all of those problems on the users end, rather than having to just keep living with bad songs forever. Not only that, but it's good for if you wanted to play hearing only the instrument, or whatever volumes you want the tracks to be at. I see myself using it a lot for fun when drumming.
More than a fix, I see it a feature. As always though, if it's too much ill work, I wouldn't bother.

david you are talking about rips though... not many people know how to rip them.. im looking into how to rip, but that wouldnt be as easy a fix as editing in eof, when it comes to problems with rips you should probably fix them within PS because chances of getting completely new rips are very low

well this thread has kind of branched away from the original post, a general setting for all songs to adjust volume levels per track to fit user preference seems like a fair idea
using the game to fix poorly made songs does not, adjusting levels in an audio application is a fairly simple task, this does not require ripping content just tweaking whats already out, an in game option wouldn't really make things easier to do, just waste a lot of dev time providing an inferior solution to something that can be solved properly quite easily

I really have not read much of the above so i'm sorry if i'm repeating questions. tldr. I'm wondering if there is an easy way to address the issue of volume difference song to song. i have collected about 900 multitrack frets and going through the menu is the worst part of playing this game, not due to the game, but due to the available content. one song is good on vol, where the next song is way too loud, the trend continues all the way through. Is there some kind of volume leveller that could be implemented into the game, my windows inbuilt one has little to no effect. or what about replay gain (which i know little about) could replay gain be set to all the songs/splits to level out the volumes and have the game use those RG values?
