So Rockband 4 came out back in October of 2015 and now (After 8 years) are finally going to port a Rock Band to the PC. It's on a crowdfunding campain page and they need 1.5 Million USD to get Sumo Digital port the game to PC. www.fig.co/campaigns/rock-band-4-pc

I'm hyped for it. I've only thrown down about $50-60 USD on PS4 DLC, and I wouldn't mind switching to a more favorable platform. Though in hindsight, I did buy my PS4 for RB4...
I'll probably not back until the later stage of the fundraiser. I wonder how this will effect Phase Shift in general? Will it increase our player base and available songs, or will it hurt us? Will HMX send us a CND? So many questions, and I'm ferociously going thought the Reddit thread on this for as much information I can get.

I backed $50 for the game. I'm gonna see if I can use my Electric Drum Kit with it and I seriously hope it will work. I never bought RB4 because I never owned a PS4 or Xbox One. But if this get funded, I sure as hell will be playing it for many MANY more hours than I have put into it in the last 10-15 years (Appox. 8000+ Hours)

This is interesting. I just might pledge some cash for it IF they confirm support for the Xbox 360 Ion drum kit.

They did state in the info below that they are going to have to make new drivers for the ION kit but they said they would.

That is not publicly confirmed. I PM'd one of the HMX guys and they said they probably wouldn't be able to 100% confirm Ion drum support until after the end of the crowd fund campaign.
HMXJosh can't confirm, but he agrees it's likely that the Xbox 360 Ion kit will work in a PC port of RB4.

I hope so, I still don't think they have ion support yet, and if they can support other instruments other than rock band like they do on consoles that would be a plus.

By biggest beef right now are the reward tiers. They need to introduce more lower pay tiers between $50 and $500 to make it more enticing for potential backers. Also, having such a high pay wall for artists to contribute art assets for the game is absurd. "Give us $1000 and we'll put your design on a hat and a shirt!" or "Give us $25K to put your song in Rock Band for FREE". Those paywalls should be lowered a bunch, or at LEAST toss in some Fig shares from this campaign as a thank you for those assets. Also, too many PAX East rewards.
Currently contemplating getting the game and a shirt for my reward tier. Shirts are cool.

As predicted by a lot of hardcore members of the rhythm gaming community, RB4PC fell short of about $750,000USD.
I have to say, three quarters of a million smackers is a lot! Here's hoping that we've all learned from this (eyes Harmonix's marketing team) and will improve ourselves for the future.
I have a feeling this might bring some additional foot traffic to Phase Shift.
Hey David, any more ideas to flesh out Expert+ on guitar/bass? How about an update to song library or to Phase Shift? *nudges like a good buddy*

It definitely drove me to work closer with Phase Shift, especially to bulk out the setlist and try to bring a well rounded experience to a wide variety of people of all skill levels. I'd love to have some hand in future Phase Shift developments if we're going to continue moving it forward.
