So, I'm trying to add some difficulties to my chart after my friend made some EMH drums for my Expert only chart. The thing is that when I do, The Expert drums seems to get influenced by the Hard drums and changes some of the toms to cymbals (which I think is a side effect of CAT downcharting). It's only a minor inconvinience, but I would like to know what causes this.
Thanks!

A drum note at that is a cymbal in one difficulty has to be a cymbal in all difficulties. This means that if one difficulty has a green cymbal at 20 seconds into the track, any green drum notes at 20 seconds in any other difficulty of the chart are also forced to be cymbals. This is expected behavior. If that's not the problem you're describing, let me know.

Ah I see. Is there any way to prevent this? I assume not, so I'll be fixing my charts then. Thanks for the quick response!

There's no way to prevent it. That's how the cymbal/tom notation works (a track wide marker, like star power).
