In playing with eof on my laptop I tried to see if any features such as gestures (windows 8 trackpad) would work, but do to eof's code it doesn't allow it but other than that I don't like the always pressed or "held" keys (ctrl, shift, alt, etc...) this has made it challenging to chart and I want to know how to disable it cause it's a pain.

Laptop mouse pads generally aren't as easy to use as mice for traditional pointer movement and 3 button clicking, it's more a limitation of the laptop than anything else. EOF is not designed in a way where it would be simple to implement any kind of touch gesture support. As for "always held" key modifiers, this was a known bug in Windows 8.1 that affects various programs including EOF. EOF had its keyboard handling changed to resolve this in r1352, and many Windows 8.1 users indicated the problem went away, so give the latest version (available at customsforge.com/forum/61-download-latest-eof/) a try.
