No. Not yet, anyway.

Copyright issues might be what prevents the devs from doing this.

Copyright issues might be what prevents the devs from doing this. That is incorrect. Check yourself before you Shrek yourself.

Copyright issues might be what prevents the devs from doing this. Charts are not copywriten. Gameplay mechanics are not copywriten. That's why we (PS) have the color order: GRYBO.

so what you guys are saying is if we asked the devs to add BREs they'd do it?

I think that the devs have said that they want to distance Phase Shift from Rock Band to some degree, and not just flat-out emulate every single detail. It's also understandable if they don't want to include it because it takes away from the, you know, gameplay aspect of, well, playing the game, and not just hitting random buttons at the end of the song, just me, though.

True, and to add to that line of reasoning, Rock Band (Harmonix) does actually chart the end of songs. Big Rock Endings don't have to exist.

True, and to add to that line of reasoning, Rock Band (Harmonix) does actually chart the end of songs. Big Rock Endings don't have to exist. That is correct to some extent. They only have the expert charts "loosely" charted for the animations for the avatars. If you look deeply into the MIDI files for songs that have BREs, you will see this. This sort of information is all over Scorehero and C3, as well as on the official Harmonix documentation for Rock Band Network. I'm glad that the devs chose not to implement a clone of BREs. I never was a fan of just banging unnecessarily on my plastic instruments just for a chance to score a few thousand extra points. As a charter, I find BREs lazy; it distracts the player from the actual music and beat and tosses the focus too much on the bonus score.

As a charter, I abhor songs that fade out, and, I really don't like Big Rock Endings either. As a musical composer, I really don't get Big Rock Endings. I tried one on one of my songs. That did not end well. But, I personally see no new information that can be gained from this thread.

I mean if you play drums and have improvised fills on rock band 4 (hope they add these to phase shift.) They're pretty cool if you know what you're doing. It's a cool game mechanic that allows you to be creative. Kind of like the guitar solos on there which I imagine is way more fun if you know what you're doing instead of playing the same note over and over like Lil Wayne did, but like rock band maybe we can give these features on and off switches. I don't know a lot about guitar but i feel like this kind of applies.
