(my first post ) Hello. How can you get the BPM of the song the easiest way? I use the BPM Analyzer program, but it's not 100% accurate. More over, there are a lot of bands (AKA, Dream Theater) which change their tempo mid song, causing BPM programs to give untrue BPM. I know there is a way to be 100% accurate, but I don't know how. Is it manually? cause that sounds like it would take forever to get to the right BPM... Thanks!

Manually setting tempo always gets the best results, and even though it is tedious, it shouldn't take longer than an hour or two, just enable the waveform graph (F5) and it's mostly a game of setting a good average tempo and then making minor adjustments every few beats. You can use EOF's built in tempo detection or use the ability to have Sonic Visualiser estimate the beat timings (details for each are in EOF's manual).

Do you know how bigger companys (AKA Rock Band's, Guitar Hero's) get their tempo? is it given to them by the bands somehow? Or another question, how people like Puppets Hero's maker got the BPM? Thank you!

Based on what I've read I think Harmonix does (did) it manually. With some practice, you'll probably be able to get pretty good at it.

That Sonic Visualizer thing is pretty sweet! Thanks Rayne! Its like beat mapping for dummies! Just my cup of tea.
