Hey, I know how multitracks work, so no need to fill me in about them, I'm just wondering how you would go about DISABLING this for particular songs that have this issue within EoF or in the .ini or whatever. Thanks in advance.

Best thing to do is rename "guitar.ogg" to "song.ogg".
Off topic: nice krogan.

Ah, alright, that won't affect any other instruments, right? And just wondering, but is there a particular reason why this happens? Also, off topic: thanks

EOF doesn't support having more than one audio track in use at a time, this sounds like an issue you're experiencing with Phase Shift. If you miss guitar notes while playing the chart, guitar.ogg is muted. This is similar behavior to what is done in Frets on Fire, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, etc, where each instrument has a separate audio file and they are all played simultaneously unless notes in a particular instrument track are missed. vandorb12's suggestion of using song.ogg may be the best way to avoid this, because this is more of a generic backing track that doesn't get muted when the player misses notes.

It only happens for certain songs, especially really old FoF charts, from my experience, anyway. So the whole nature of the track being muted is directly linked to the audio file, then? Something must have been done to the track to do that, in that case, correct? So there's no way to reverse it?
I'm content with renaming the audio file, just kind of curious as to what causes this in the first place.

If the chart only has one audio file (guitar.ogg), all the song audio is muted if notes are missed. This is how it's expected to work, there's no better workaround than renaming it to song.ogg if you don't have separated audio tracks.
