Edit>Copy, Edit>Paste. There are also keyboard shortcuts given.

err.. how to i even Copy a section of notes, because i don't even know how. i understand that there is an edit button with copy on it, but it is grayed out so it won't let me copy. how to i select notes?

You click on notes to select them. Clicking one, holding SHIFT and clicking on another selects all notes from that first one to the last. Various menu functions that require you to have at least one note selected will be grayed out if no notes are selected, because they cannot be used that way. Make sure to read EOF's documentation.
