Does Blender know that? Or are you two talking about different modeling applications? Blender is the free and open source 3D creation suite.

Does Blender know that? Or are you two talking about different modeling applications? ...It was a joke. There's no free version of Blender because Blender itself is a free program.
Anyway, yeah, you can use any 3D modeling program as long as you know how to do the stuff in the tutorial with it. Blender is the best program to use for any 3D stuff, in my opinion, as long as you have an entire month of free time to dedicate to learning how to use it.

If you were experienced with the program you'd know how to get the plugin that's used to import X files. If I were you, I'd work on simpler things before you move up to something as advanced as creating a theme for this game. Oh, and please consider working on your language skills before you post here again. Start by adding spelling, grammar, and punctuation. It's easier for everyone to understand you if you follow the basic English conventions.

Currently I'm working on helper tool, intended for theme creators (the code part) It's called "Phase Shift Xml Editor" and might be helpful for your new theme project. It supports syntax and value checking, code foldind, autoformatting.. etc. I will release the first beta version soon. It's a part of bigger project called "PS Theme Editor", which won't be released this year (if released at all).

Is there a place that lists EVERY command and tag line that can be used? Id like to know what all possible triggers and fx there are. Reason being, Id really like the song name and artist name (on OSD) to fade-in and fade-out like in RB3, although that theme doesnt support it. Plus it was in an ugly spot so I moved it around. Just wanna know if these fades are existent or not or if there's possibly a secondary workaround to code one in.

Hi co2outbr3ak, I am not able to actually know how the RB3 "fade in and out" effect is. But on Phase shift you can do something probably similar, using the following FX's: <fx> <fx_type>sine</fx_type> <target>alpha<target> <start>100</start> <end>0</end> <rate>3000</rate> <loop>true</loop> </fx> - In this case "start" and "end" set the opacity (alpha target effect) of the text/image. - The "rate" sets the tempo (speed) of the effect, as stated in the first post, 1000 means 1 second. I hope that information help you! djlastnight let me know if I fucked it up with the code, I'm still a noob xD.

I tried using your tool but I really didn't get the help I needed. The values that seem to appear are all default/globals and not actual values and tags that can be used within a subset. For instance, I have the "fade-in" effect working by adjusting the code listed above: <text> <id>song_artist</id> <dynamic>true</dynamic> <position>-800,250,0</position> <scale>100,100,100</scale> <rotate>0,0,0</rotate> <alpha>90</alpha> <font>default</font> <size>13</size> <justification>right</justification> <case>normal</case> <fx> <fx_type>sine</fx_type> <target>alpha<target> <start>0</start> <end>100</end> <rate>5</rate> </fx> <fx> <fx_type>sine</fx_type> <target>alpha<target> <delay>5000</delay> <start>100</start> <end>0</end> <rate>5</rate> </fx> </text> The fading in works, and so does the fading out, however, there's something hard-coded that automatically makes the song artist and song name disappear completely after like 3 seconds, regardless if there's an <fx> applied to it. What I'm attempting to do is have the first fx fade in, like it should, and keep it there until 5 seconds into the song before the 2nd fx kicks in to fade it back out. However, I'm unsure of any type of delay features for an fx as well.....

The values that seem to appear are all default/globals and not actual values and tags that can be used within a subset I'm not sure what you mean, please explain it more detailed. It's hard to determine whether you or the applcation goes wrong. The fading in works, and so does the fading out, however, there's something hard-coded that automatically makes the song artist and song name disappear completely after like 3 seconds, regardless if there's an <fx> applied to it. There is nothing hardcoded. You are applying the both effects every 5ms, which makes the game do weird things. What I'm attempting to do is have the first fx fade in, like it should, and keep it there until 5 seconds into the song before the 2nd fx kicks in to fade it back out. However, I'm unsure of any type of delay features for an fx as well..... Set your text's alpha to 0 and try this single effect: <fx> <additive_alpha>true</additive_alpha> <fx_type>ping_pong</fx_type> <target>alpha</target> <start>90</start> <end>0</end> <speed>70</speed> <loop_delay>5000</loop_delay> </fx>
