Hello there, today, quite a special bug or whatever I have found, but it looks like grid snaps don't go well with custom time signatures. It's kinda hard to explain, but I started charting a song with uncommon time sigs (11/8, 12/8, 7/8, 5/8, 3/4, 2/4 and a few more) and sometimes grid snaps are just ignored, just like if you disabled this tool. Also, another problem might be that there isn't the good "amount" of notes with these time signatures, because my chart is out of sync from the point I stopped it, and compared to the tablature : www.911tabs.com/link/?6739599 (you can download it at the bottom of the page) Here's the chart (drums part) : (got it) and I hope you kept my config, else it's still here : dwsk.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=eof&thread=1205&post=9829PS : rayne, tell me when you have downloaded this, then I allow knapman to remove the link :3

passworded files get around 15 downloads before they get locked.

There's a long standing bug where the built-in default grid snap values don't work with non 4/# time signatures: code.google.com/p/editor-on-fire/issues/detail?id=190I'm not sure how many people this effects, NewCreature gave it a go a couple years back and it remained unresolved. I think you might be the only person that's mentioned it since then. It still seems that you can work around the problem by setting a custom grid snap value (Edit>Grid Snap>Custom), which will take the time signature into account when you set a "per measure" grid snap. If enough people consider it a high profile issue I could spend some more time on it. I couldn't determine EOF was counting measure numbers correctly. You are placing time signature changes in the middle of measures, which might be why you are running into this. For example, in the Guitar Pro file, the start of measure 28 is supposed to be a chord followed by three and a half beats of rest notes (silence). However your beat map places this chord in the middle of the first beat in measure 28 and has another time signature change a few beats early. The top number in a time signature is meant to represent how many beats are in the measure, even Guitar Pro seems to strictly require this convention to be followed.

I know I might be a bit wrong in my chart, I've never dealt with so much and such time sigs... Well anyway, thanks for the help, also I gave the chart to a friend of mine who is more used to such things so he might be able to help me
