Been tidying up a few charts and noticed a bug. It seems there is no difference between 1/16 and 1/8 grid snap.
One other thing is that it's hard to tell when you undo what it was that was changed. It seems that you'd want the display to jump to the note that is being undone. Sometimes if you press undo a few times you get lost where the last change was. It's also unsure if what you are undoing is even in the same track as the one you're viewing. I'm not sure if the undo events are linked to the current track you are viewing. If it's not then you'll need to jump to the correct track that the undo was on too.
Another thing relating to this is that there is loads of undo history but the redo history is only 1. This is quite anoying as if you press undo too many times then you can't get back what you did.
Thanks David

Been tidying up a few charts and noticed a bug. It seems there is no difference between 1/16 and 1/8 grid snap. I can't immediately reproduce. I opened a generic chart, and the two different grid snap values snapped the mouse properly and made new notes the expected length. If you have a chart where the two different grid snap settings don't behave differently, please send the project files my way so I can test with them. The only thing that would be trivial to implement is saving the active track, difficulty and seek position with an undo state and having a preference that seeks to this position when an undo is performed. Let me know if this would be close enough to what you're looking for. I'll can take a look at this, but this type of change would be more complicated than the seek option.

I profit of this topic to show you a kinda annoying bug I've found a long time ago, but never thought about mentioning it When you move the "beatmap" with your mouse, the grid snaps get screwed sometimes, it's really boring. The only way to fix it is to save your work and restart EOF, then your beatmap is moved and the grid snaps are good again. Without further explanations, here's a video : You can watch it up to 480p to see more clearly. Also, you already have my config file for EOF, hope you kept it

That sounds fine. I can't recreate that snapping bug now. If it happens again I'll see if I can get you more info about it.

Thanks, Gyoo, I've been able to fix this problem. It seems like it would only happen if you click and drag the first beat marker, at which point, grid snapping could be broken. If you set the MIDI delay in song properties, it should avoid the problem for now. I'll probably have a new release in the near future to fix this, but until then you should be able to just replace your eof.exe file with this hotfix: www.sendspace.com/file/ec5e8b

Well, thank you again I couldn't notice the bug was there only if you dragged the first beat marker by the way, nice find.

A lot of the time, these bugs are pretty specific, so I'm glad there are lots of testers!
