Ok, so I have been releasing songs on the forums. Just asking, how does one artist qualify to have their song packaged with the game. I know about appropriate source tracks (more commonly known as "stems."), and we need to own the rights to the song. But, is there possibly anything else? Because, I might have one song that I want packaged with the game. Probably something from this album: nathanielwhitlock.bandcamp.com/album/im-n3kk16 (Except Fluttershy, too slow.) or this: nathanielwhitlock.bandcamp.com/track/circles

It's packaged with the game when you download the full version of the game and it's already inside.
Don't know if I can explain better ^^

Im still in the process of working out a first draft setlist, we currently have about 53 song options and its looking like we are aiming for a 20 song setlist so we have to narrow things down quite a bit.
But as we've said before anything that doesn't fit into our core setlist we still want to cover in some way, ie dlc. We can't go overboard with our setlist because size becomes a problem and its really just a starting point for people picking up the game.
An interesting piece of news is any of the songs that fall outside the core setlist will have options, you could have them as individual song dlc, or create a custom career pack. We are hoping to have custom career support so if you have a lot of your own songs you might like to create a dedicated career just of your songs for people to try and complete.
What I am thinking about is once we have our core setlist worked out it might be cool to have a second community voted career pack selected from the songs we couldn't fit in, to have a second official dlc career.

Agreed. By the way, can you give us some indications about the amount of fully charted songs that you have ?

I'll have to get back to you on that one as I have yet to test everything properly, but looking at the overall picture its interesting as we really have only just recently hit the point where we could start to create the setlist. Based on all the criteria we would idealy like to meet, it gives us an unconfirmed shortlist of 28 (23 usable if 3 max per artist) songs, but this may not be enough as songs could turn out unsuitable for various reasons when we start to check everything in detail. So right now we'd need to be quite lucky to create an ideal setlist, as potentially we only need 4 songs that don't work well then we run into problems, but we will confirm the situation once the first draft is worked out. While at this point nothing is set in stone it would be nice if everything on the 28 song shortlist was close to completion, if i have a chance this weekend i'll do a check of these songs and see where we stand with those. what was the deal with this thread, should this be considered a dead end dwsk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=songs&action=display&thread=898

They told me at the end of June that they were finally able to work on the stems. I just sent them a new mail, if I don't get any answer in the next days, we'll consider this as a dead end, sadly.

Hey, just saying if you ever do pick out one of my tracks, I'd suggest Summer Fun. It has left hand and right hand keys, and would be a nice song for both hand keys.
