For some odd reason today when I connected my Rock Band wireless guitar, it decided to name it HID-compliant game controller, even though for the longest time it was named Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows). This change has made my PS gameplay kind of annoying, I can no longer tilt-to-activate overdrive, and if I whammy once, it continues the animation even with the bar put back into it's starting place. Is there any way I can fix this?

I've had this happen to me before. I assume you've tried it in different USB ports on your computer? And have you tried it on another machine to make sure the guitar hasn't broken somehow?
Thanks David

Well, long story short my friend also has a wireless receiver for his laptop, and while he was over his decided to mess up on him. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the receivers as we both got them from the same place for the same cheap price online But anyway he tried mine and it worked for him so I let him borrow it while I tried to mess with his to see if I could figure out the problem, but it works just fine for me. It still shows up the guitar as HID-compliant game controller, but the whammy bar and overdrive work just fine. I tried different USB ports but they all showed the same name for the guitar. Oh well, at least it works now. Maybe we'll just make the switch permanent since all he needs it for is a regular 360 controller
