What I'm asking is, I was wondering if there can be (or is) an option to swap blue cymbal and green cymbal notes. Why I'm asking this is because when I play my electric drum set my crash cymbal is on the left side of my drum set, while my ride is on the right side. So it gets very confusing to properly play songs since when a green cymbal appears (indicating crash) it's on the right side of the lane, while I have to hit my crash which is on the left side of the drumset. I know I can re-author songs to fix this issue, but that's really time consuming. As time goes on it will become more of an issue as more songs are released. Also I know I can rewire my kit so it switches cymbals, but that's just not comfortable for me with the layout of my set.

This would also be useful for left-handed drummers.

Yeah I could, but I wouldn't like to rewire my kit, my crash cymbal is almost directly above my high hat, which is how I like it, using it as a ride would be difficult and uncomfortable in most cases when I need to hit various toms on the drum set at the same time.

Yes! +1 for adding this feature.
I'm running an Alesis DM-10 kit (connected via MIDI) and I also have my Ride cymbal on the far right and crash cymbals left and middle. This is a very common setup for drummers now as crash cymbals get significantly more use than a few decades ago.
Currently I've got (and I'm guessing shadowstreak as well) 2 situations:
1) Remap the MIDI conf so that the colours match cymbal physical layout. But then when playing the "ride" in PS I'm hitting the crash cymbal, which feels completely wrong. On top of that, my brain instinctively wants to play the correct cymbals on my kit based on what I hear.
2) Use the standard MIDI mapping which results in the ride and crash being in the wrong spots on my physical kit which is bad for PS which is effectively sight-reading. So when I see ride cymbals in the middle of the screen my brain tells me to go to one of my crash cymbals (middle of my kit) instead of the correct cymbal which makes reading the charts very confusing (especially with lots of ride/crash swapping in the chart).
Basically all that's needed is for a switch which just tells PS to swap where the blue/green cymbals are triggered. This also helps greatly with mid mapped layouts like this: 1x yellow (highhats), 1x yellow (crash used in some songs), 1x blue (crash), 1x green (ride)
This with a blue/green switch would give a more natural layout to the songs and in my opinion cement PS as THE drumming rhythm game (FoF and the like really don't hold up to PS in this regard) and a great drums learning tool.
Just occurred to me: Why not make all lanes re-assignable?
Something like a "kit configurator" where you tell PS where all your drums/cymbals are located (from left-right). I imagine lots of people might just do the blue/green cymbal swap, but you could also account for all kinds of layouts. At this point the "colours" really serve no purpose except for familiarity (e.g. we all expect red blocks, wherever they are, to be snare hits) and GUI navigation.
Examples: Standard Setup: Snare (Red) - Highhats (Yellow) - Tom1 (Yellow) - Ride Cymbal (Blue) - Tom2 (Blue) - Crash Cymbal (Green) - Tom3 (Green)
GreenBlue Cymbal Flip: Snare (Red) - Highhats (Yellow) - Tom1 (Yellow) - Crash Cymbal (Green) - Tom2 (Blue) - Ride Cymbal (Blue) - Tom3 (Green)
Snare-Mid, Toms around: Tom1 (Yellow) - Highhats (Yellow) - Crash Cymbal (Green) - Snare (Red) - Tom2 (Blue) - Ride Cymbal (Blue) - Tom3 (Green)
This would also allow you to reverse everything resulting in "lefty mode". Basically, you could kill 3 birds with 1 stone!

OK, this has been brought up before and is something we'd like to implement. It's just not as simple as you'd think.
The first problem is determining if a cymbal is a ride or crash in the frist place. Only RB and our own charts have this distinction. All GH charts and most customs don't offer this info and as such we could be moving TOM rolls in the wrong order. Currently there no good way of detecting which chart is which.
Secondly the RB charts use the Blue (ride) to chart open hihats. Right now that is anoying but tolerable due to the fact it's only the next cymbal along. Moving further away would make this more of an issue. As such we have been holding out for a better way to handle it. We currently have a song.ini tag which we have been pushing for defining a RB chart but it's quite underused by the community. We might just say that this option will only be used on properly defined RB/PS charts and you'll have to change the value of the song if it's not applying correctly.
There are other technical issues with doing this that I won't go into but it's soemthing we have been thinking about and are keen to implement but we are still working on the details.
Thanks David

Thanks David I think I'm understanding you properly, but it's not a matter of having the chart exactly following the layout of my drumset through the midi file (though that would be fantastic). The only thing I would like is that we could have an option of having notes on lane 4(blue cymbal) and lane 6(green cymbal) swapped.

Can we also have multiple midi inputs hit for one lane? I have a third cymbal I'd like to assign on blue but last time I tried to just add the number into the midi input .ini, it disabled both cymbal inputs.

I've got 2 "Blue" cymbals for when the real song calls for crash instead of ride. On top of that my ride cymbal is dual zone so it triggers on the bell as well. Here's a snippet of my mini conf. <BLUE>49,9,0</BLUE> <BLUE>51,9,0</BLUE> <BLUE>53,9,0</BLUE> <BLUE_TOM>45,9,0</BLUE_TOM>

OK so you've got to add a new line for it. Thanks

Hi, I am new to PS and running in the same problem. Green Crash is far right but on my kit it is left. Where can I switch this? I did not find it yet. You have to edit your profile: Start the game, hit F1 to create player (green), then hit Tab (start). Choose your nickname, and hit backspace (select). Choose edit profile. I think you are searching "Ride Crash Flip" option. Just enable it. Hope this helps, dj
