Is there any way of getting a song to be in sync with the notes, possibly with EOF, because some of the tracks i download have all the right notes they're just too early or late.

in the song .ini there should br a line that says "delay = 0" mess with that, if the notes are early, then start going up by 10(EX. delay = 10) , if the notes are late go down by 10 (EX. delay = -10) keep going or down by 10 (10, 20, 30 etc.) until you get the noes close, then you can fine tune them (its normally either a variable of 10 or 5) you could go in eof, however thats a more sloppy way to fix it, it would un align the bpm, and it's bot as accurate as the ini tag. if you need an example song i can show you one.
hope this helps have fun

if you use EOF correctly, it won't cause any issues at all...

If the chart is correctly made, it will already by in proper sync. You may have to adjust delay values in Phase Shift itself in order to allow it to play in correct sync. Make sure you've done the AV calibration before anything else.

if you use EOF correctly, it won't cause any issues at all... well, it may be a specific issue with me, but my notes in eof are about 155 ms later then the song, which is why i rely on the delay value in the song.ini.

you can set an AV lag for EOF to sort that problem out i believe if you use a song you know is synced correctly

The only method I ever suggest to guarantee sync while charting is to use audio cues and the waveform graph. The chart must be beat synced so that the metronome plays along well with the drummer. Visual only tests just cannot cut it, unless maybe you have separated stems for each instrument, which is almost never the case.

heh, its not a big deal for me, it only takes about 5 minutes to set a delay tag in the song.ini

I tried what you said and changed the song. ini delay to 10 then 20 all the way to 50 and it didn't seem to make any difference. I also tried some negative numbers just to see, but again there seemed to be no change in the song.

it has too try changing the value to an outrageous number like 200 and tell me if it changes it at all.

ah, so it was just really out of sync, heres a hint (if you want to) you can go to practice mode anr run it at about 80% speed, and you can fine tune the sync of the chart
