I play Phase Shift on my HTPC which is hooked up to a 32" LG TV that supports 1080P.
Unless I disable Anti-aliasing after the game starts to render the notes on screen my FPS drop down quite a bit (not sure of the actual number, but its fairly noticeable and makes game play harder). This perhaps could be from upgrading my video drivers down to some point as I cannot run HDMI-HDMI now, but only DVI-HMDI (Oddly, it really shouldn't matter).
The system specs is as follows:
Intel Core2Duo @ 2.8GHz 4 Gb RAM MSI P7N-SLI Motherboard 1x 300Gb HDD @ SATA 3.0Gb/s XFX Radeon HD 5770 600w PSU 1x CD/DVD Burner
Windows 7 x64 SP1
I would expect this system to be able to play the game at max quality at least it did when I first started playing Phase Shift. All updates are installed, including video drivers.
Any suggestions? I'm thinking its the newer ATI driver as it ran fine when I was on HDMI-HDMI.

only way to know is to try, give some older ps versions a go first then try the drivers, ati drivers are always hit and miss

I've tried Phase Shift versions v.80 (Current release when I found PS), v.81 and v.90 so far all with the same results, can't really download the v.91 right now as I have a data usage to monitor on my internet.
Looking at a driver conflict, debating if I want to download the 122Mb AMD/ATI driver that I recall working well (v10.12).
Only having 5Gb download a month sucks, although I can go over, they don't throttle my internet, I just get charged $10USD/Gb over!
And yes, ATI drivers are definitely buggy, Linux it's even worse, they are almost impossible to get to work. But maybe I will just go for it and see what happens, I will give you a heads up on if the older driver fixes it up.
Thanks, Slayer

Its verizon wireless mobile broadband. This is the only option I have for broadband internet, other then satellite and I can't deal with this higher pings that comes with it.
Sadly, no cable or dsl is available here. I cant be on dial-up anymore, hard to upload websites on it and takes forever to download drivers for computers I am fixing.

No DSL? I thought that stuff ran on the phone lines... and everybody should have a land line phone. I guess you live out there in the middle of nowhere then. =P
Try downloading drivers from a university computer or a local library.

For DSL, you have to be relatively close to a telephone exchange.

Were actually in range, just that the other side of the road is a different township, so that phone company cannot come across the road to give us service.
Some franchising agreement AT&T has here, and they wont shoot service down our road (everybody else has it around here). It's enough to make you wanna nuke the company.
