Hi
Edited on 2022/12/12
I'm sorry for my bad English. Firstly, Big thanks to all the contributors...
I worked on little modifications (mainly custom notes) on Blub theme, default Phase Shift theme, and Warriors of Rock theme.
I have to precise that I am "visually impaired" and that I use the "Guitar Hero - Warriors of Rock" theme (that I have customized) to avoid too dark esthetic, 3D and light reflections from Phase Shift original theme and improve readability.
I also customized these themes because I find that rim snare and sizzled, open and pedal hi-hat "road panel" notes hide the notes that follow.
Let's see here for more details on this "road panel" notes hiding problems : dwsk.proboards.com/thread/2951/hiding-problems-panel-notes-drums

I found out by accident that the chromatic circle is different in CMYB and RGB. I used green (complementary color of red in CMYB) for the rimshot but I should have used cyan (complementary color of red in RGB). I corrected that and it really improves readability. I also lighted blue notes in my WoR theme because the originals was too dark for me.
Here are the description of 'png' I use for charts made according to the classical charting method (-R1- method) :
- normal yellow for YELLOW_C 'png' (mainly closed hi-hat and sometimes cymbals in -R1- method)
- normal with a little down arrow for YELLOW_P 'png'
- orange for YELLOW_S 'png' (sizzled hi-hat in -R1- method
- light blue for YELLOW_O 'png'
-
-R1- method :
Some charters use YELLOW_C for [cymbal hit and closed_HH hit] and [YELLOW_S or YELLOW_O] for open_HH's nuances (sizzled or open).
-R2- method :
Other charters use YELLOW_C only for cymbals and YELLOW_S for closed_HH (with a custom 'png') and YELLOW_O for sizzled/open_HH.

And let's see here for more details on this 2 "Drums Real" charting methods : dwsk.proboards.com/thread/2950/2-methods-drums-real-charting
I had accommodated myself to orange note 'png' for sizzled hi-hat in -R1- method OR orange note 'png' for closed hi-hat in -R2- method.
But, I finally decided to differentiate hi-hat notes 'png' YELLOW_C and YELLOW_S according to the charting method followed.
Here are the description of 'png' I use for charts made according to the second charting method (-R2- method) :
- purple for YELLOW_C 'png' (only cymbals in -R2- method)
- normal with a little down arrow for YELLOW_P 'png'
- normal yellow for YELLOW_S 'png' (only closed hi-hat in -R2- method)
- light blue for YELLOW_O 'png'
- cyan for RED_R (RIM) 'png'
To make easier use, I upload on my MEGA 'notes to be changed for -R1- method' folders and 'notes to be changed for -R2- method' folders.
You just have to "copy/paste" this 2 notes in your theme notes folder (Phase Shift\themes\Blub Theme 3 by saih_tam\static\notes) before opening Phase Shift. In my setup, I made two different WoR themes to avoid "notes copy/paste manipulation" but changing theme in Phase Shift still requires a game reboot.
I have done a first video which tries to show all the different notes of Phase Shift "Drums Real" mode with a first chart using -R1- method and a second chart using -R2- method. The aim is to show the advantages and disadvantages of each configuration in order to obtain the opinions of the community and maybe improve the coherence and readability of Phase Shift.
After many work and tests, I have finalized my WoR custom notes and tried to do equivalent notes for my 2 customized Blub Theme and my customized default Phase Shift theme. A second video tries to show the final versions of these 4 themes. I have to precise that I did "notes copy/paste manipulation" following the charting method used only for road panels and half road panels notes in this second video.
I have done a third video to show the final versions of these 3 themes by saih_tam which are following the charting method used doing "notes copy/paste manipulation".
