Custom careers not working (grayed out)

Hey. Hoping someone can help. I downloaded the "custom career creator", made a career, exported to PS "careers" folder. When I start the career in-game, all songs and tiers are grayed out and I can't select them. Why is this?

I found my answer to main menu music problem. I just went to the settings and setup the folder again from scratch. I then checked the settings ini to ensure it had the proper path and POOF. I now have menu music.
Another thing I figured out; I don't need to have those folder paths now, either. Looks like a bad ini from a previous install is to blame for a lot of my problems. So. ignore most of what I said. Just check your settings and make sure you selected your music folder properly.

Keeping the below posted in case someone finds it useful.

Since the career creator mostly references each song by a hash, you may not have your music folder setup correctly.
For example. I create a career and the fist tier INI looks like this:

Since I have my music folder at : [D:\Phase Shift\music] I then have The Beatles Rock Band at [D:\Phase Shift\music\the Beatles Rock Band]. A couple problems with this until I figure it out; I am not getting menu music AND the tier will not show the song. Says it is missing. I then edit by hand the tier to look like this:

Still, no menu music, but the tier is now populated by selectable songs. If you had all the songs just under the music folder, not under child folders, then the career should work.

Hopefully that helps. I know this is an old post, but it seems all the posts on this forum are extremely sporadic and maybe someone like me might come along looking for help if they decide to play this game again.
I am currently setting it up for my goddaughter. She wants to play it.
