Since this forum is the only place I've been to for info (not including the dwsk.co.uk site) I'm not sure what has been discussed or not, so apologize in advance for any duplication.
I use a Super Dual Box Pro PS2 to USB converter, and I use PS2 GHIII guitars, standard issue Kramers, and this was all tested in Windows 7 32bit. When I started the game with it plugged in, it said there was no profile for it. I downloaded the Profiler and ran it, I've attached the file. However, I assume that since it just shows up as a standard 16 button controller, it would be impossible to pre-map the controller, but I hope that you plan to create a selectable list of profiles one could choose from. What's interesting is that the profiler would not pick up the strum buttons, which are 15 and 13 (up and down). You might also be interested to know that button 16 is always on, and the whammy bar does not register on any axis.
At first I didn't do any driver monkeying, and it showed up as "TigerGame PS/PS2 Game Controller Adapter" with a very basic UI for the controller setup.
Then I downloaded this driver and the controller setup was much nicer with a "Playstation" logo in it with more options like Analog, Digital, Button, Pov, and DDR mode. As it turned out the mode I was in before was button mode, so I switched it to Analog and now the strum bar was a change in direction on the directional button and the whammy was on an axis. Running control profiler again everything looked great with the whammy, the only problem was the strum bar up is Up and to the Left and the strum bar down is down and to the left, which means it never showed up in the profiler because the profiler only had options for 90deg directions. I will attach the second profile file in a reply since it's only allowed me to attach one file at a time.
Hope this helps, please let me know if there is confusion and I can post something more descriptive and with screenshots. I'm guessing at this point if I really feel the need to play this with the guitar, I'll just have to use joy2key.
Thanks!
P.S. I also have a Wii RB Drum Set....profile worked like a charm!
