Just a preview of 'Mango'.. My take on the current 'setlist creator' being used.. I will be asking a few people in due time to run some tests\bug sessions before a public release. Any questions or requests, please feel free to drop a line below. Thanks -Twig

I wouldn't mind trying it out either! The single image is way to small to say or request any features. xD

I could be a beta tester. I appreciate it! When I feel its in working order (more or less get the exporting done), I'll send you a link for download. I should also add that Mango isnt a standalone application. Its actually a plugin, in oder to test ill need to write an app so you can actually run it XD I wouldn't mind trying it out either! The single image is way to small to say or request any features. xD Thumbnail cant be clicked?? Updated Preview When I get to it, ill post the current features.

Well..it can, i guess i just didn't know photobuckets interface..my bad. xD Looking forward to features. Well not much of an update but i did just finish writing a very basic midi parser... Image HereThe only reason i wrote it was because ive only actually read from .chart files and since PS uses midi i needed a way to make sure that when a song is added to a certain tier within a given instrument, that song had that playable part in it... nothing like making a drum career with songs that dont have drum parts.. Anyways, i guess you can say that one of the features will be making sure that the song has the required parts when added to a tier... feeewwwfff.

I while back I wrote a command line utility for somebody that scans the specified MIDI file and returns a value that describes which instrument tracks had notes/lyrics in them: www.fretsonfire.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52250The links are dead by now, but I can re-upload the utility if it's something you're interested in. If you don't need to check anything else in the MIDI this could save you some coding effort.

I've actually ran into a problem with the parsing.. it'll read most of them but most won't return any data, seems to me that it's the one people ripped themselves (I guess)... Hmmm -twig

I actually figured it out, I was reading your post on fof and that's pretty much where I stopped, it reads all data except the notes to ensure such track exists. I will add that midi is something new to me but I'll look in to your source and see where some changes to what I have might come in... thanks for the upload I'll be sure to give thanks either way when the app sees a release. -twig

Old GH authoring tools put "dummy" notes at the beginning of unused tracks/difficulties, so the best results will only be possible by reading the tracks' contents to find out which of them have real parts to play.

Well I managed to figure it out... Unfortunately I don't know c++ so I wasnt able to understand your source XD it now reads notes, power, player1-2..ect and the mids that were not returning data damn well return gold now... though my next issue, I'm sure can be resolved with a simple reply... does ps support careers for say lower difficulties and not just assume that the mids have say 'easy' when starting an easy career?? Cause I was wondering if I would need to add more support in mango to make careers for lower difficulties... -twig

Yes, career supports different difficulties.

Yes, career supports different difficulties. How is difficulty specified other then word of mouth? Edit: also, what are the available parts? I know of PART GUITAR, RHYTHM, BASS DRUMS, VOCALS..ect but a full list would be nice if anyone has this information. I know PS has *REAL if I'm not mistaken but I could be wrong. Edit 2: Ahhh... i think i got it
