OK then. The next hotfix will have that change.

Is this to prevent Phase Shift or any particular rhythm game from adding any HOPOs? Off the record, yes (well for me, anyway; I hate eighth note Ho/Po, and believe it should be abolished post haste). But for our intent, it is to make the songs as much as possible, like they would be played in Guitar Hero III.

^^Pretty much that.

The new hotfix incorporates the requested Feedback import change. Please give it a try and let me know if Feedback import needs any more corrections before I work on the unofficial tapping notation.

Looks like it's all good! I haven't seen anything incorrect in the 5 charts I looked at. Cool!
Also, I have a minor request for the rbn midi export thing concerning slider sections, would it be possible to make it so that slider sections got marked as hopos in the RBN midi output? (unless it already does that and I'm just stupid)

I also can confirm that is much better. As for the other thing, I would ask you to fix a glitch that's been happening for the longest time in the .Chart to .Mid conversion: Star Power. See, when people mark Star Power in Feedback, usually they do it the laziest way possible. They mark it all the way to the next note. I would ask you to cut it off a tick or so early. If the ending note doesn't get marked, oh well. I need to go back and add in one note to the thing. But if all of them are one note too long... that just shows laziness. Or A GH:SH rip. would it be possible to make it so that slider sections got marked as hopos in the RBN midi output? The RBN MIDI is meant to ignore all non Rock Band notation instead of converting other notations. I could probably make it a user preference though. Would this be only for the RBN MIDI? If you find that this usually happens for star power phrases that end at the beginning of a beat or a measure, I could make this logic conditional so that it only shortens the star power phrase by 1 tick if it ends at a beat position (chart timing for the end position is divisible by the chart resolution, which is typically 192). Let me know if this works for you, as this could reduce the number of instances where this logic would backfire and change the star power phrase when it wouldn't be appropriate.

I didn't know that was an option. Indeed, that would work. Of course, one tick may not do it. I don't know the exacting details. I would say at least two ticks, just to be on the safe side.

The Star Power fix seems to work fine. I haven't seen an issue there.

It appears that the slider > forced hopo doesn't work. What's the current was of handling it?

Before the new hotfix I posted, they were not treated specially. With the new hotfix, slider notes are exported to the RBN and C3 MIDI files as forced HOPO notes if the "RBN export slider as HOPO" preference is enabled when you save the project. I exported such a chart and imported the MIDI and EOF does indicate they are HOPOs. Please make sure you're trying the hotfix I posted yesterday with that preference enabled.

So I was going through a chart with the new hotfix just kinda lookin through just because, and I saw something that I'm pretty sure isn't supposed to happen... This is the entire last 4 trips followed by the 4 strums in the chart file Any idea why this is happening? Here's the chart file if you wanna take a look: Soulless 4 Source Chart.chart (664.93 KB)
