When will there be 3d stages? also some ideas

Does anyone know if 3d stages are coming?

Even if it looks like the old guitar hero games I don't mind.

Not sure if I have said these ideas before but.

1. When making a career you can pick what stage you want and in quickplay.

2. For animations maybe make something like how Rock Band does it with left hand animations or maybe if there is real guitar charted on it then the character will play the notes on the real guitar chart.

3. For drums it is mostly simple, just make it follow the pro drums notes.

I think that is it, i just really can't wait for 3d stages as it will bring Phase Shift to the next level.

1. Possible, but I think there needs to be a menu design overhaul before this happens.

2 and 3. NO. Read up on how Rock Band animations work. It's not that simple.

If you really want a fucntional Rock Band clone on PC... Go play GHIII.

He's confusing how trivial it is to parse the MIDI data for animations and knowing what to animate based on that, with actually creating the 3d assets, rigging, animation data, etc to make that MIDI data translate into 3d animated figures on screen.

One is trivial, the other requires a lot of 3d design and animation knowledge, and I can only imagine a lot of time to implement. Not worth it for a project like this, really.
