Bummer. I just tried to look up the Wikipedia page for this game to check it out, and it seems that it was deleted! It seems that this game is "not notable" enough, and I think I got a whiff that somebody tried to boost views by associating it with Doom? IDK, players.
Can somebody who is Wiki-savvy potentially explain what happened? How can the Wiki page come back to life?

I literally just read the deletion summery a bit before seeing your posts. Yes it was deleted because for a game to be considered "notable" on Wikipedia, it must be covered by third parties (like gaming sites and etc). I'm guessing the reason that Frets on Fire has a Wikipedia page and Phase Shift's was removed was mainly because Frets on Fire has been around long enough to get the attention of various third party sites.
No, there was no attempt at view boosting. The Phase Shift Wikipedia article was written by one of the developers of the game and a moderator on Wikipedia said something about ID Software not having to write the Doom article as an example. Generally when someone writes the article for their own project, it's not seen as being from a neutral prospective (which is doubly true as someone else mentioned on the deletion page since Phase Shift has competition with Frets on Fire).
As for bringing the page back to life, that would be simple. As long as Phase Shift gets covered on third party sites (things like the IndieDB page don't count, as those were created by the developers) and is written by someone other than a developer then I'm sure it'll stick around on Wikipedia. In the mean time, Phase Shift is mentioned on the Frets on Fire Wikipedia page.

No problem. Offtopic but I actually just started playing Phase Shift. I was huge into Rock Band and Guitar Hero 1 and 2. I'm loving Phase Shift so far. But thanks for welcoming me.
