I thought EOF was respectable.... But apparently not. The reason so many people have this popping up as a virus, is because it DOES secretly install about 5 applications without the users consent that do such things as hijack your browser. That is why anti-virus flags it. I don't know what kinda crap this is, but EOF is malware and will be reported across the web as such. Make a legitimate installer, or scrap it. Nobody wants this 3rd party crap that we DID NOT AGREE TO INSTALL.

You're going to need to pay more attention and NOT use the option to use SendSpace's downloader. The link you provided, for example, came up with the default option to use the downloader checked. It ALWAYS provides an option to download it directly, you just have to click the right things. And also, don't be such an ass when you're the one being careless.

Doesn't excuse the use of un-reputable sites for reputable software. Find a different site, or my previous statements stand.

Your previous statement does NOT stand. I am not responsible if you make decisions to install adware (SendSpace isn't the only file host that has ads or offers an installer). I don't need hosting from you either, another forum is making preparations to provide it, so you'll just have to wait until then if you can't use SendSpace appropriately. Here's another tip: You can use a file download manager like JDownloader to download the file if you don't want to navigate the file host's website. I get no money for ads or anything, I just like that this host is very reliable and functional. Very few people have so many problems finding the right download button or unchecking a single box as you do.

I will however say, you did fine work on the actual editor itself, and I realize you make nothing for it. That, is honorable. What's going on here however, is not, and completely ruins your work. Just charge for it, don't be deceptive. You have a fine product. People will pay for it. With that, I bid good day.

Then why bother with the other link, when you can simply post the link I did, which completely circumvents that crap installer.... Wrong: The link you provided, for example, came up with the default option to use the downloader checked. You do ofcourse realize, many other users have installed this garbage and NOT realized why it was popping up on antivirus... YOU also failed to explain why. So, something stinks here and.... wait a minute....... <smells> Yep... It's definitely whoever decided to use this site.. It's not up to me to ensure users know how to use the Internet or how to read. If you don't like the application I work on and provide for free, you can have a refund of $0.00 for it and go somewhere else. I don't have to take crap from somebody that complains while not having provided anything to this community. Users beware. I foresee more degradation of this software forthcoming. Now you're just making up more bullsh*t. Just charge for it, don't be deceptive. There's been no deception, the file host gets whatever money it makes from any ads it displays and not me. I don't bend to your will, I will use another file host when it is ready.

recklessj@rayne just dont bother with him rayne, if people dont know how to use the internet (or their brain) thats their own damn problem. EoF has played a vital role in PS development and still does. And to make it clear to other readers, it is 100% safe to use, please dont belive that guy BS.

Ok, cool. Be an idiot then. Sendspace is known to, at random, download fake files even when clicking on the proper link, which is exactly what happened to myself, and others you've "helped." Don't believe it? Click the link, over and over and over. Eventually, you'll get the result. Here, is a picture, of the spoofed file which downloads and runs without consent. It IS a virus, as shown by avast. You can clearly see it came from sendspace, the craptastic site you so brilliantly decided to use without doing any research whatsoever first. Thanks for that sir brilliance. Please note the images below are hosted via SkyDrive(OneDrive) a FREE, REPUTABLE, STABLE, FILE SHARING SITE, WITH NO CRAP! Get your crap together before you start attacking me jackass and fix your mistake before you infect countless others who may not be so able to remove such malware. For example, the other sheep who have so intelligently contributed to this thread. As for you all, STFU, stick to the dicks and balls your used to, and keep downloading then. It's really of no concern to me. You'll see eventually. I'm just trying to help your morons. What the hell kind of software engineer are you? Perhaps I will design my own.... This is assinine. I like the support you gave. False positive. Chrome is bad. Dip #H*T. So you can slander google, but I can't have truth be told regarding your product? You're a joke.

Next time use your towering internet knowledge and click the deceptively obvious "Click here to start download from sendspace" link. I just downloaded a half dozen different EOF releases this way and they were all the legitimate file with no third party downloaders. ONOIBEPWNT. You might as well take your sh*tty attitude and leave, nobody here appreciates your butthurt tirade.

I warned this guy about double / triple posting after I cleaned up the thread before, then he goes right on to do it again.
If he wasn't being so obnoxious maybe this would have been a useful thread, but instead he chooses to undermine his own credibility so any value that could have been gained is lost to nonsense. This is how you post when you don't want to be taken seriously, maybe you would see better results going with a different approach, or keep doing what your doing and see how that works out.
I won't warn again about the continued double posting / spamming, sort yourself out.

Knapman, apologies. I do see your message here. In all fairness, I only posted twice, due to the length of each one, and the size of the images. Not exactly the same as before with one line replies and like 10 of them. Regardless, you are correct, and I apologize. See there. It's not so hard to admit when you made a boo boo, apologize, and right your boo boo. For anyone who would like to do so themselves, I encourage them to google "sendspace virus." This has happened time and time again, and was discovered WELL over 2 years ago. Sendspace is garbage. Like I said originally, you have good software, why must you degrade it by putting on a site like that? All I'm saying, is find a different host, one that isn't WIDELY known to fill peoples computers with Trojans. You DO NOT HAVE TO CLICK THE WRONG LINK!!! THE CORRECT LINK WILL DOWNLOAD THE TROJAN. It's like being the 100th shopper at K-mart. You win a trojan packed file, that has been renamed the exact same thing as the file you intended to download, and is coded to sneak past antivirus so that it infects before it's detected. You have no problem with this? You should! Look at the picture again, they have gone to the extent of renaming it the same name of the file you uploaded.... If you don't take issue with this, i'm definitely done with any software you have touched. I really don't mean to be offensive, but straight out, your host is infecting people, and you don't show any concern for the people you're infecting. Learn from the info i've given you, or don't. It really doesn't matter. You'll figure it out eventually. Just research it man. It's not a big deal. We all make mistakes. I don't understand why it's so hard to admit you chose a poor file host. Oh well, it happens. Choose another one, and get on with life eh? That's what I'm going to do now. Apologies for any hostility. I was a bit fired up after your download cost me 30 minutes of deeply rooted Trojan removal. I don't like when my time is wasted. I don't have a lot of free time. So, once more, I will humbly ask that you change file hosts. The tracking isn't THAT neat, and it's certainly not worth giving your users trojans. Certainly not a good way to go about getting a large number of downloads. Keep up the good work with the software, thank you for creating it, and hope you get the file host issue sorted out. This will be my last post regarding this BLATANT issue. Regards.

Now can someone please lock this thread?
