so occasionally the mouse that EOF uses will freeze when i click something like play or just the menus and thus rendering me unable to continue without ending the process in task manager and even though when i restart it, it will allow me to reload what i had prior, its still an inconvenience. I remember seeing somewhere in some options menu an option to turn it off though, but i cannot find it again for the life of me. help, it would be very nice.

Try going into File>Display>Display and changing the "use software cursor" setting.

Did the software mouse stop working after specific things like using certain functions from the menu, or would simply opening the menu or pressing play specifically cause it?

It wasn't anything specifically, it would just periodically freeze up. And no I'm using Windows 7

We'll chalk that up to bugs with Allegro's software mouse I guess, unless you find that it was specifically menu functions that always caused it to stop working, in which case it might be a bug in EOF (which occasionally has to disable and re-enable the mouse). I'll try to look for functions that forget to re-enable it, but let me know if you find any before I do.

the issue wasnt that it wasnt there anymore, its just that it would get stuck in one place and the action i wanted it to perform wouldnt.... it was just really weird
