Phase Shift has preset game modes called Speedy 120/140/160, in which you can play a song in the game sped up at the specified speed. The game achieves this only while sacrificing some things because the modes are programmed to just increase the game engine speed and make everything go at a higher rate, so the timer goes down quicker, you need to whammy more often, smaller hit windows, etc.
Being new to this, I wish to know if it's possible to use EOF to speed up a chart file (midi) to a manual speed, even outside the preset 120/140/160, so that those side effects don't happen. Something like an overall increase in tempo or something... idk how this would work.
If it is possible, I need to know if the chart keeps all its notes types and other things in place or not or if it screws everything up... Of course by speeding up the chart somehow I'd need to speed up the sound files for that song. I've figured that out with Audacity and it works fine.
Thanks.

EOF doesn't have a function for this, but it's probably something that can be done. Would anybody else be interested in such a thing though?

If you would read this... then I could probably convince someone to do this since I think it's easy to implement. EOF already has a function to change an anchor's BPM WHILE adjusting the notes' positions accordingly. EOF already knows to find the next bpm line, bpm anchor and resetting all the anchors(which i think involves finding them in the first place(from a programming standpoint)).
What I would want to see is a combination of these functions and having a option that "Changes the BPM number of all anchors by +-xx% while adjusting the notes position" so that people can have their preffered songs be played at a slower or faster rate and keeping the same hit window, beat line chart and pattern of the song. For example change bpm by 20%... so that you could achieve the note speed of speedy 120 in Phaseshift.
Yes, you need to change the audio file too but that is as easy as opening it and clicking 2 buttons in an editor.

I'll see if I can fit this into the next release candidate.
