Hello everybody,
After several days of talkings with italianstallion (never get to know where the 1 is) and also polling the community, we have a good base for tournaments.
Here is how it'll take place :
Two tournaments will be opened, one for Expert Guitar (I'll manage it), and one for Expert Drums (italianstallion). They will be double elimination tournaments, with a winner bracket and a loser bracket, so don't worry if you lose at the beginning.
Players can indeed participate to both tournaments. The more, the funnier, and we set a limit of 32 participants for Guitar, and 16 for drums (based on the poll results). The players will have to sign in the tournament on Challonge.com because of things I'll explain later on this post.
As suggested by the community, songs will come from everywhere : Official GH/RB stuff, PS songs, and customs. 60 songs will be prepared for Guitar, and around 40 for drums. That's a lot of work ! We won't take suggestions, we already have many ideas of fun things to choose for everybody to have something they'll like, and with all difficulties (but still Expert)
On each round, you'll be given a song, and the goal is to make the highest score on this song to win. Depending on the amount of entrants, time given for each round can change but it'll probably be one week per round, because everybody has a life to manage, and not always time to play before week-ends. Therefore, if some rounds can be played faster, let it go, you don't have to wait for the last day to post your score
Now to come back on Challonge. It provides really good tools to manage a tournament, so players will need to sign in the tournament there for these reasons :
The starting date is to confirm, but there are chances that it will start in the last days of August, depending on how fast we will work after the deadline we fixed, to fix last minute details.
The Challonge link will be provided few days before the beginning, so you guys can sign in.
Finally, since there's a lot of songs to come, it might be possible that some chosen songs will be revealed until we start
I think I said most of what was needed to say. If you have questions (I mean, real questions, not hidden complaints), I'm open to reply.

Now to come back on Challonge. It provides really good tools to manage a tournament, so players will need to sign in the tournament there for these reasons :
- You will have to provide proofs of your scores. Just take a screenshot of your result, and you can attach it directly on Challonge. If that's not clear for some people, I will explain it deeper when necessary
- [TO CONFIRM]Signing in on Challonge will provide me your email adresses. I will ONLY use them if necessary, mostly to alert you if I see no activity of yours after several days. Then, please use an adress you're sure to check.
- The tourney tables are beautiful and easy to understand.
