How do I open the notes.backup.eof file? (I assume that's a backup for the notes, so I need to open it, otherwise I'll lose some work) When I open it, eof says 'Unable to load file. File could be corrupt!'. (That's when I go to the map, and open it using eof. When I open eof first, and open the file use the 'load song' feature, it says 'Error loading song!') So how do I open it?

Don't.
Just use the notes.eof file, I don't see why you would lose your work if you don't open the backup file.

Because the power went off and I didn't save. That's why.

Notes.backup.eof is just another copy of the project that was saved. As long as it isn't corrupt, File>Open will work to open it. If the computer lost power though, the file may have been corrupted. If you didn't tell EOF to close (ie. power loss or you forced the computer off with the power button without shutting down the OS normally), it will have kept your undo states though. You can go to EOF's program folder and examine the eof###-###.undo files' modified date/time to see if any of them look like they were made around the time you were last working on your project. If you find one you want to open, use File>Open to take a look at one of the undo files. File>Open won't show these files by default since the file extension isn't .eof, but you can enter an asterisk (*) in the file name field and click Open and it will show all files in the folder. You could then select the undo state and open it.
