Open notes already supported in the guitar track!? Awesome! I guess just adding the sysex event to the midi/at the locations/time of note 60(C3) will turn them into open notes. Coolio. Thanks for the info David!

I guess I have a question. Phase Shift looks for a "sysex_open_bass = True" INI tag to warn it that the bass track uses open strum phrases. Is it fine to leave that tag the same if a guitar track uses open strum phrases?

I'm confused here. I thought power gig was a real guitar game not a 5 button game.

I thought the same, but turns out it is not, yes it has 6 strings and yes it works like a real guitar if you plug it in an amp, but when it comes to gameplay it is basically a regular plastic guitar with 10 frets(2 sets of 5) and 6 strumbars for playing regular charts lol.

LOL!
Don't ask me, I just know that the charts are very similar to RB charts. However, the guitar charts contain a open note strum(not talking bass guitar, because there is no bass guitar in the game)...EOF imports them as sysex events now. I'll PM you the files David.
The first note(@19sec) in Layla is the said open note.

If there's a LOT of demand, I could probably look into importing the heavily neutered power chord pro arrangements from the Power Gig MIDIs, but I'm certain most people could make a higher quality pro guitar chart themselves.

OK, well PS don't support open notes in basic guitar mode.

OK, well PS don't support open notes in basic guitar mode. Bummer. Let me know if this changes, since EOF now allows open 5 lane guitar notes to be authored.

I'm really curious about this "power chord" mode that Power Gig has... I haven't found any YouTube videos on this at all.
