Heya I've found something interesting I guess : This is how the 3d preview goes when you place your cursor at the very end of an open note tail. (It comes back normal for other positions) I tried it on several charts, and even before reinstalling EOF because of my import problem, this was like this too, so I think you can reproduce that easily. If not, as usual, I'll bring you some of my files so you can try with them.

I couldn't reproduce this when I opened EOF 1.8RC5, placed an open strum bass note, seeked to its end and seeked backward one millisecond at a time. Could you please send me a chart, some affected seek positions and perhaps even your eof.cfg file? It's possible that only certain combinations of user settings trigger this.

That amazing how the bugs I find are unreproducable XD You'll find the last chart I worked on (Steel Concrete) and my CFG file on the package. For the seek position, you can just see the one on the picture in the first post, there's also 01:54.476 and many more Attachments:

i get this every time im charting bass, it doesnt happen at the end of a sustain open note, it happens the moment a very long sustained open note goes off the screen but the tail is still visible. Its a very brief flash.

In Gyoo's chart, the problem went away when I changed the preview speed (Edit>Preview Speed) to something other than "Fast". Do you find this is the case for you as well, JD?

it happens even in slow preview speed, it just takes a longer sustain to happen.
Check open note sustain around 3:24, its a SP note so the flash is white instead of purple.
