Theme is updated. Download link in youtube's video description (see screenshots and video on 1st page). I've made so many changes. Any resolution is supported, no need of patches anymore. Added a lot of animations. Improved fonts. Changed almost every menu. Changed Guitar and Drum notes. Hope you'll like it!
Thanks, djlastnight

i was wondering 2 things: first off, the changes are really notable, theme looks amazing and you are doing a great work - could you put the tail of the notes on top of the fret lines? soy when I whammy it would look a lot more noticeable. - also, weren't the SP notes animated in last version? plz correct me if i'm wrong I said it already, but gotta say it 2 times, theme looks fucking amazing

I can try to move the board and strings down, but I'm not sure if that will help. SP notes can't be animated, that's not supported yet. Thank you for your support. djlastnight

try seeing the default theme, the tails are over the "bass line" or fret line or whatever it's called, i don't know if I'm making mayself clear lol, and you'll always have my support.

from my testings when i was doing the guitar strings, it doesnt matter if you move the strings down, the note tails are always drawn below them.

The game renders the scene in passes, if an element is in a later pass then it is going to be drawn on top no matter what position you put it in 3d space.
If the idea of passes seems odd you could consider it like classic 2d animation, drawing on cells / layers. You might have a background, mid and foreground layer, if an artist wanted to add a tree in the background but draws it onto the foreground cell, if they then animate a character in the mid layer passing in front of that part of the background, the tree is going to float on top of the character as he passes over that area.
In the 3d sense, moving the object further down in an attempt to effect the draw order is like the 2d artist drawing that foreground tree smaller so it looks like it should be further away.
Elements need to be put into the correct pass to display correctly.

in our case board = background tails = mid strings = foreground. They are always on top, because they use Fret_Bass.X, which obviously should be on top.
If I understood well, pass = draw order and I can't change it at all. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

something like that, rather than just draw order its like grouped draw order, you can effect the order of objects within the same group, but in this case you have added a neck element into a pass that comes after the neck so you will have order issues,
if possible you'd want to see if there is something other than a bass fret you can attach that element into so it renders in the order you want

i just wanna point out that the reason its attached to the bass fret is because it exclusive for guitar/bass and so are the strings.
Also thinking about it, if tails are actually part of the notes(visually) why do they go under the frets while actual notes go over them?

they are flat on the board and the board goes under the frets so seems to make sense as far as general positioning goes, and with added bonus that we don't have to worry about any effect to hide a hard edge in the middle of the frets while its being hit, this was a bigger issue before as we didn't have the hit glows at the time

Nice update..I'm curious if the notes are exact?..As far as size goes anyway? They feel bigger in this than in the real thing, but that could just be me.
(and I know I shouldn't ask, but..any chance you'd ever consider making a GH2 theme?)

(and I know I shouldn't ask, but..any chance you'd ever consider making a GH2 theme?) Notes are bigger than usual, I know this. For me it's easier to play with big ones. It's important what everybody think about this change.I don't like GH2 at all. It is possible to start GH:SH theme, because I like how it looks.
