yeah, but when i went out to make the notes, i specifically wanted something simpler and easier to play with... so i felt as if leaving the notes a small bit apart really emphasized that the notes were different and being able to really see that would be helpful while playing really fast sections... my original notes are the simplest notes available

i like them, i tried to make the RB fretbutons but gave up after spending some time on it... What do you use to make the textures? only an image editor or is there an easier way to do it? I had a hard time getting things aligned in my failed atempt.
Anyways, ill take your frets as a starting point and see what happens, Thanks!

That's all I did for editing all the textures, like the frets. Just opened up the texture image file in my image editor then modded it from there.
But if there is a hella lot easier way to do it then that way, please, by all means let me know!
Cheers

i saw your steam screenshot with HOPOs and if i were you, i'd make the outer edges a little more defined so the note structure looks the same. the color is good, but it needs to have a similar frame to the strummed notes... otherwise you're nearly perfect

I've ripped and manipulated some RB drumnotes from a FOF theme (Gargomen RockBand). They are wider than the current RB notes which helps in advanced drum modes. Maybe you guys can give them a try and let me know what you think. I haven't worked on extra features as missed note and starpower stuff yet. www.mediafire.com/?4bomp1rvv5knhk3Unrar and copy the files to the notes directory....

Oh man i love them Thank you so much, the new version is gonna be so close to the real RB lol I gotta ask if you could convert some RB hopo notes too, i can make the normal guitar notes from the drums notes you posted... anyways thanks again. Ill take care of the miss and SP textures EDIT:sadly i got to a dead end when making the notes for guitar becuase the game takes the textures of noraml and hopo notes from the same file, so the only 2 solutions i can think for this are: a)support for separate normal and hopo textures (Just like slider already does) b)edit the normal note model so its smaller, but still use the same texture of normal notes So please david or knapman could you consider option A? For the time being Ill see if i can edit the normal note model, but remember i dont know anything about 3d so dont hold your breath... Or if someone good with 3d stuff could do it for me i would be really thankful

Thanks, your the theme is looking really good! I can probably look into the HOPO notes later this weekend. I'll try to make them a little smaller and somewhat brighter.

nice thanks, just to make sure, hopos and strum notes share the same file for texture, so to make them brighter you would have to "split" the texture so half is for strum notes and the other half for hopos, or something like that.. hope that made sense. Otherwise you could just shrink the notes so you can know they are hopos, but they would still use the same texture of strum notes. Just to save you some trouble here are the current notes i have (cat hopos are there just as placeholder) www.mediafire.com/?6t0mmatsc1wgbyb

After some texturing experiments I've made new regular and hopo notes which use the same texture file. The hopos are brighter and a bit smaller. I then tried to resize them some more but then the texture got messed up so I have to jump back in Maya and photoshop to make some final adjustments. I'll try to finish them today.
