Knapman, any chance I can talk to the artist of this song?

heres the pretty much finished guitar tracks alongside vandor's drum tracks.
proguitar is pretty much finished aside from one note thats in the song that the tabs are completely missing from both guitar 1 and 2, if i can get any help from the artist on this it would help, otherwise I have no clue what to do with that note.

Well done good sir. Feel free to put in overdrive/star power/phase shift events wherever you see fit (I'm never good at that =P)
As for the elusive note, grab a cheap (tuned) guitar, and try to find it! *Here's hoping you have perfect pitch!* If you can't figure it out, a mute would suffice (I think).
I should have noted this before I sent the chart off to you, but the tabs are not "perfect". I noticed this when I was charting the drums.

yea, I actually noticed that a bit too... i figured they were the artists tabs though, are they not? and a mute note won't work, if you listen to the guitar track alone, its obvious its a full fledged note, it could possibly be a slide.. though i'm thinking it may be ------- ------- ------- ---8-- ---8-- ---8-- i would love to actually get the artists input though, no one would be more correct then them

I forgot to ask, but where is this unknown note? (i'm on my mobile, so I really can't fire it out for myself)

I'll take a look later this evening on that trouble spot. And yes, he posted on the first page of this thread.
*EDIT*
The elusive note sounds like a slide, asskick. I can't tell what notes it starts off on though.
The MIDI file (the song, not our charts) could bring some light to this. Go and download tuxguitar for free (or something similar), import the song MIDI, and see if that note is in there.

The so called "elusive note" leading into the second chorus is just a guitar slide. As for where the slide starts, unfortunately I don't even know. It was a last minute thing that was added in while I recording (which is why it isn't in the tabs) Aside from that one slide though, there shouldn't be anymore mistakes in the tabs because I write the tabs before I record so I can use the midi from guitar pro to do any virtual instrument triggering that I want to do.

I thought it sount like a slide, thanks, knowing for sure its a slide, I should be able to mimic it with a little messing around on the guitar. Very helpful!

The only place in the track that the guitars are doing anything different is during the short harmonization section in the verse.

The only place in the track that the guitars are doing anything different is during the short harmonization section in the verse. yea, that was what i wanted to break apart, though, splitting the pans didnt actually get rid of the effect, so im assuming that is actually a guitar effect.

I quad track my guitars. Two are placed 100% left and right, and two are placed somewhere between 70-80% left and right. I sent 2 separated files to Knapman that had the harmonization separated but he must've compiled them into a single guitar track. If you want, I can invite you to the Dropbox folder with all the files I sent Knapman.
