Hi, I have the Rock Band 4 wireless guitar and pro drum set and I'm trying to connect it to Phase Shift. I am using the Xbox One wireless USB adapter which is connected to a Windows 10 PC. I can connect the device (guitar or drums) to the adapter successfully and on the device press the Xbox guide button which opens up the Windows 10 Game bar so I know that the device is talking to the PC correctly. However, no other buttons are being recognized. I tried running the Phase Shift Controller Setup v1.6 (PSCtrl) but none of the button presses are being recognized. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Does it show and function correctly in the Windows Game Controllers Settings? (Press Windows Key + R and type joy.cpl)
Thanks David

I looked in device manager and this is the device in question. I tried updating the driver to the Microsoft Xbox One Wireless Controller option but that didn't change anything.

It's going to be hard to figure out what the issue is without further testing. I'll keep an eye out for a cheap one on ebay so I can look into it in more detail but I fear they have locked this out on purpose. Thanks David

I have been doing some research and came across the below which talked about updating the firmware. I went ahead and followed the instructions to update the firmware which completed successfully. harmonix.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/218238387-How-To-Update-Your-Xbox-One-MadCatz-FirmwareOne of the things I noticed is that during the firmware update there was this device driver wizard that installed. However after finishing the install. The guitar is still not showing up in the game controllers section. Also that driver is not listed in the device manager section where you can pick a driver to install that is on your system. EDIT: This is a official Harmonix guide on connecting your device to your Windows 10 PC. harmonix.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004674127-How-do-I-connect-a-guitar-controller-to-my-PC-

So I was doing more testing today and noticed that the Xbox RB4 guitar / drums can open up the game bar (shown below) and using the buttons on either the guitar or drums you can navigate around the game bar just as you would expect. You can also open the Xbox Accessories Windows Store application (you have to have a actual controller connected for this part to work) and press any button on the guitar / drums and it will register every button perfectly. It seems some work would need to be done to get these devices to register as HID-Compliant Game Controllers or some other type of controller at the least. Is there any info anyone has on possibly creating a custom driver for this?

It might be detected via XInput. The Windows Game Controllers Settings thing uses Direct Input. It might just have a strange subtype which is why it's being ignored. If you try and use it in Phase Shift with XInput enabled does the game give an error messages in the game_log.txt? I think it logs an error for invalid sub types.
Thanks David

Thanks David So I looked in the settings/config.ini file and I have XINPUT="TRUE" already set. I will set it to FALSE though and play around with some more settings.

I got it working!!! I didn't mess with any settings on Phase Shifter. I have the Rock Band 4 Wireless Fender Stratocaster Guitar Controller for Xbox One. So what you need to do to get it working is: 1. Download and install WinPcap. www.winpcap.org/2. Download and install USBPcap. desowin.org/usbpcap/3. Download and extract GuitarSniffer.zip and ScpDriver.zip github.com/artman41/FenderStratocastorSniffer/releases4. Install ScpDriver from ScpDriver.exe 5. Restart PC 6. Open GuitarSniffer.exe and leave it open. Button inputs will show up. You will notice it has endless text. This is because of the tilt. NOTE: This will move you mouse around so keep your guitar straight up. 7. Now open up Phase Shifter and you should be able to use the controller as normal. I don't think whammy bar works, but is detected by GuitarSniffer.exe Hope this helps anyone who is considering this guitar as an option. ORANGE DOES NOT GET DETECTED by THE GAME by default. You must make a profile for it while using Guitar Sniffer!

Any update on how to get the rockband 4 prodrums working? I will try this same fix and see whether it detects it... would that be enough?
