I've been trying for hours now to resolve my issues but i cannot get this game to start. When I try to run it i get an error about MSVCR100.DLL missing. I installed Visual Studio 2010, 2012, 2013, and even 2015. If I copy the "missing dll" into the game directory and try to start it, it says that MSVCR120.dll is now missing. So, i copy that file as well to the game folder, and then i get an error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."
I've updated .NET Framework as well. Also tried completely uninstalling all Visual C++ packages, restarted the computer, and just installed the one included with the game. Nothing seems to work. I used to play the game fine on my older Windows 7 computer.
Trying to play on:
Windows 10 64bit AMD A8-7600 3.1GHz 8GB DDR3 1333MHz
I read something on the forums about trying "other" vcredist packeges, but if the official files from Microsoft servers arent working correctly, then i have no idea what will.

yeah, i had this too. make sure you're grabbing the 32bit libraries as well iirc is how I resolved this. By default the download thing chooses w/e your OS is running but you need the 32bit ones too.

THANKS! I installed both x86 and x64 versions of Visual C++ 2010 and 2013 and now the game works! This really should be on the downloads page as a Prerequisite for 64bit users.

The game already tries to install the necessary Visual C++ runtimes silently when it installs, but things goof. If you installed the game where it requires escalated privileges (like Program Files), this happens sometimes.

Now my game starts up fine, but I can't get my guitar controller working properly. I have a PS2 Guitar Hero guitar plugged in through a Super Dual Box Pro. When I run the program to make a profile, my Strum bar is not detected. Under the Test section for the control in Windows my Strum bar is detected as buttons 13 and 15. I had my profile backed up from my old game on the old computer, but when I put that into the game I still do not have a Strum bar.
I've read about this elsewhere on the forum, but no solution was given. I even set up Joy2Key and even though I was able to set Strum Up and Strum Down in the program, they still do not work in the game.

This just worked for me. Thanks!
